The Bas Special is suppsed to change depending on whatever weed happens to be available at the time. Think of it as a 'Weed of the Month' type of special. In the past, some ACD members have pegged it for being NYC Diesel to some variant of Cheese.
Hope this helps.

No arguments what it was when I had it in March, a very heavy stinky NYCD, I had a stinking cold so I couldn't smell a thing but I knew just looking at the buds and once my cold cleared up I knew 100%.titus wong wrote:The Bas Special is suppsed to change depending on whatever weed happens to be available at the time. Most of the time I find the 'Special' it to be really good, usually an Indica hybrid. On a couple of occasions I thought there were hints of Diesel, although not as pronounced as mentioned.
The 'Special' I had 2 weeks ago was very nice, something for a mellow afternoon or relaxing evening. The effects of this gear suggests that it's an Indica hybrid although not overly dominant, maybe 60/40, but what the fuck do I know?! '' ''
My first few visits I used to ask James what the 'Special' was, but he would just smile and say that it's a chill-out smoke and that I should try some. I did, have ever since, and never disappointed. Whatever the latest 'Special' was, the price went from the typical 10e to 12e. I wonder if this is a permanent price change? ':(' Sign of the times perhaps?

I always thought there were slight differences in the 'Specials' from time to time although I didn't know it was, as previously mentioned, a 'bud of the month' type of gig. Aside from having some gear last year that had hints of Diesel, the 'Specials' seemed to be the same each time. ''gapie wrote:James told me the special is always a different strain
next strain is strawberry somethinghe had a sample with him and smelled it i didnt smell nothing but it looked prertty nice and he said it was ok
As for the next 'Special', not sure how good it will be, even at Basjoes. In the past three or so years, I haven't had a decent Strawberry anything. Last year there was some gear floating around that was being called Acapulco Gold. This gear had notes of citrus, most likely some re-branded Strawberry shit weed. I tried a pure joint (15e/gm, no way, no how) and thought it to be a mid-level Indica. White Widow for 7.50/gm puts it to shame. Hope Basjoe's doesn't disappoint.
