Though the place may not be anything special to look at, ala Bilbo Baggins comment, to which I agree btw, it's the staff that makes this place work, always has. Amazing how such a dump (not really a dump, but you get the drift...I hope) can make the money that it does. I wonder if this is the main reason why the stingy owner won't invest in MUCH needed repairs, equipment, etc..? If only I had a few 100,000 E's.... I would buy a coffee shop.

I'll be seeing the Nes Cafe crew in about a week.
DC, may I have the use of your iron once again?

Happy Nes Cafe...

It certainly wasn't what I expected as I tend to stay away from places that sell alcohol. But as many other posters have said it's the atmosphere and Dave that make it special. It's the only place I'll look forward in returning to...
Great guest book with some mad comments in

What time does Nes open? I walked past it loads of times, and it looked cool but never went in. I will make a point of visiting in August.

Can somebody maybe tell me alittle more about Nes, why do you go there?

I walked in there some years ago, didnt stay long there as it was empty and I was quite bored. They sell no smoke right? Why is this a coffeshop?

Im going to dam in two weeks, should I give it another go?

It isn't a coffeeshop anymore just a bar that you can smoke in, the attraction is DC (the manager), his staff, good prices and a friendly atmosphere.
