Vanaf 1 januari 2013 wordt het maximumaantal van tweeduizend leden van kracht en gelden de criteria overal in het land."

Nol,
Thanks for your information on the topic and keeping us ACDers up to date with whats going on in Holland. An interesting part of the article is the creation of illegal markets. If they find illegal markets to be a big problem say in Masstrict before 2013, do you believe its possible then to stop continue the open door policy.
Many thanks

For what boner!!!!

Its a disclaimer??? obviously a coffeeshops website will have a disclaimer..... to make them legal! A coffeshop cant be seen to advertise themselves, so they call it a fansite and put a disclaimer on. Have you ever heard of the phrase a loop hole? It is grey area's coffeeshop website, can you honestly not see that or are you just trying to wind people up?
Maybe in future you will answer a question rather than just being pedantic & knobish

From your link nol

The enforcement of the new drug is in the hands of the mayor. He does this in consultation with the prosecution and the police. Negative side effects, such as the emergence of illegal markets,

Amsterdam’s mayor is already on record as saying he would not want to introduce measures in Amsterdam that would prevent tourists from making drug purchases in coffeeshops. I guess that is not the case for Haarlam :(

The point Joosy is trying to make, is comments in this thread like this:
at the moment it Will be reality in Amsterdam from 20th February 2013!!
Are 100% not true, as quite simply no law has been passed YET. Im not sure why everyone is having a go at him/her about being 'deluded' as thats the fact of the matter at this moment in time.

Off course nobody on here wants it to be reality, and hearing from CS owners about it being more likely to become reality then not, is good information for everyone, but saying its 100% happening in 2013, is wrong, so why can't we just get back to sharing information...and well...hoping it doesnt become reality!

That comment is unfair,
I said all along that I'm sharing information given to me by a respected Coffeeshop owner And the locals that were present in the conversation! The part you didnt quote me saying was if we can't put a stop to it in their supreme court the wietpass WILL come into effect in Amsterdam on 20th February 2013...
It's not my intent to mislead anyone or cause alarm I only seek to share the information that I have been passed as I try to lend my support in the opposition of the wietpas
If carlsburg made weed it would be northern lights 5x

Nol the linked article as far as Amsterdam goes is the proposed law, the reason it is only proposed us that it is yet to go through the amsterdam mayor and council, this is due later in the year and it will be dismissed as no one in authority in amsterdam wants it to happen, because it will clearly be unworkable. The creation of illegal markets would ruin all the good work the city has done in the past years, the police, council & mayor know this. In short the law doesn't come in unless the mayors office want it. They don't and are in power until at least 2015, hence the earliest any law can change In dam is 2015.

I'm a bit sus on you now Joosy. (We need a paranoid stoner smiley) Are you trying to downplay it so no one fights against this????

For me, legalisation should come down to one simple philosophy:

1) As a human being, one should have the ability to do what one wishes as long as one's actions do not harm another human being. One should have CHOICE.

2) If the drug isn't regulated by the government, it will be sold by criminals, leading to loss of revenue for the governement and an increase in crime.

These two points should be enough to justify the legalisation of marijuana anywhere, but sadly, in most countries in the world, they aren't. Which sucks. The Weed Pass will happen because conservatism will have won yet again.
I didn't want to quote the whole thing but this post is terrific! Sorry I can't multi quote either, I will practice.

You just got proven wrong. Accept it.

Nol maybe you should fly a few "dutchies" who smoke weed over to Australia and show them what it is like to try to score weed from the streets or public of Australia. Maybe they might ask the right person for weed, before they get arrested for trying. Then they might not get beaten by the Bikies cause they owe them some money, that they never knew they did, when they finally get near them to score. Maybe they will love being around needles, at the junkies house, while they're waiting, he has left with they $300., when trying to score as we say some "hooter". When they get it, it's poor quality, it's wet, not flushed and never cured and they want to complain to a coffeeshop about their purchase, well they have fat chance of that. If they complain to the Bikie they may not ever complain again. And they can forget about buying only a gram at a time and having choice. They get what their given and they are lucky for that. Maybe after all that they might see how LUCKY they are to have coffeeshops.

Maybe they will see that even though, the weed pass is not aimed at them as Dutch citizens, that by not fighting it they are allowing, some of their freedoms to be taken away. Maybe one day they might end up like how I just described. Maybe then they might be a bit more worried. (I really don't expect you to do that, but I think it would be a good thing for your conservative politicians to see. Imagine when their grand daughter has to go through all this, because she wanted to smoke a little weed and this is the world they gave her)

Also they should know as tourists from a different country where weed is usually illegal, it will be nothing new to us to have to try to score weed on the street. Obviously a lot of us may do that already. So some of us are already good at this and not scared, to do so. Obviously this won't deter the ones that really want too.

Nol I hope more people fight for your cause. I hope you save your Dutch tradition for the Dutch people and for many whom love Amsterdam and Holland as if it were their home.
Hopefully One day I hope I get to roll you a joint with you, Nol in your coffeeshop, while I'm visiting from Australia, as a tourist.

What are you going on about?

Grey areas website is their website, the disclaimer is for legal reasons, do you not realise this slip and sal?

I agree i don't need to post anymore of my thoughts on the weedpass matter as i have done so already but i reserve the right to reply to this thread when someone posts something that just doesn't make sense.

Also it was a bit a of a far fetched paranoid post to think some ordinary joe is trying to deflect attention on a forum so the weedpass will go through!

FWI i obviously don't want a weedpass in amsterdam, but i'm not stupid & gullible enough to believe it would go through.

I am sorry for being rude slip and Sal but i cant help it, you are clearly very thick if you think http://www.greyarea.nl/home.html is not run by grey area or their employers.

The disclaimer is for legal reasons, so they cant be prosecuted for advertising!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
