I had it in Feb this year and it was a nice sample of amnesia haze. This time I didnt take one toke, lit it and smelt seedcity. Its a shit shop aswell. FUCK DERRY & FUCK BARNEYS!

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the Pineapple Chunk they've got now. I was coaxed into buying a bag as I skimmed the menu for strains I hadn't tried and stopped at something that looked like it would be a treat to smoke. The weed looked like quality stuff, smelled real fruity and sweet as well, and was just the right level of crisp and crunchy to go in the grinder.

As I lit my spliff I took the first few tokes and tried to savour the flavour... But none came. I figured I must have ended up rolling all tobacco into the tip of the joint by some freak chance, and that I'd taste the herb soon enough. And sure enough, I did - I realized what I had been tasting all along was the taste. It tasted like the coffeeshops smell outside (not right outside, but generally when you're walking around the Dam and there's the ever-present aroma of generic potness) - just kind of like weed, and that's really all I can say about it.
High-wise, I don't know how much it would have crept up, but as soon as I put out my spliff I started rolling a new one of some proper weed. I didn't need to wait - if by the time I had finished the spliff I was still not feeling one bit high, I clearly wasn't going to.

AVOID the Pineapple Chunk.

I was very impressed with the smoke and food (though a bit pricey)..

As I was there during the Cup 2010, we indulged in the Tangerine Dream and other hashy entries..

Tangerine was flavorful and had that smooth/sweet Sativa kick to start the day.. fantastic in the Volcano.

Looking forward to visiting again.

Was in here recently. Nice little shop - the budtender was helpful and showed me how to fill the bag with the volcano. A small amount of G13 Haze was vapourised leading to an intense intoxication! My partner, who is a very occasional cannabis user, was totally wasted for several hours on what seemed like a tiny amount of weed.

I also got a bit of Parvati Charas which I found was excellent. The Carmellea Cream is so expensive now, I reckon the charas is much better value.

So a good visit all round and we were glad we stepped in.

Will not go back I think or in any case it's difficult. the place is decent enough but the tenders(both bar and bud) were sort of tired and weren't in any way helpfull or kind. I opted for 1g of Caramello Cream for 18E/g. it looked really fresh and wanted to try it because I have been disappointed and wanted to give another chance. chance missed, the hash wasn't so great, 6.5/10

I've always had a love hate with barneys but recently it's been pretty good. So, I didn't expect my experience this week to be as bad as it was!

Firstly, the tender was uninterested and not friendly at all, but I can put up with that, especially as it was just a buy & fly, my real problem was the smoke!

I've had vanilla Kush many times so didn't check it this time and bought 3g. When I got it open at the hotel I couldn't beleive it, there was a huge stalk in the big bud, which must have been at least 0.3g, and a few fraff bits, it smelt of nothing at all and was dull. When smoking it got worse, no taste at all, not stone, and probably one of the worse examples of green I've had in dam 0/10

I also bought 1g of liberty haze, which was ok but not as nice as any other haze I bought on my trip, taste didnt last throughout the smoke, and kinda tasted badly flushed, which was probably why I had to keep relighting! 4/10

Finally I bought 1g tangerine dream, I've had this a few times and it's sometimes been good an sometimes not so good, this time it was in-between. The bud looked lovely, but kinda tasted of chemicals, probably badly flushed again, but the stone was good and long. Started my day with this Wednesday and kept me in a bubble for a good hour 6/10

In a nutshell, I won't be rushing back there in June on my next visit..

Bought the utopia haze for a daytime smoke which was lovely nice high and not to racey. 8/10 unlike pineapple chunk which was absolute crap. no taste and burnt terrible. smelled fine in the tub and bag but jus didnt come over when smoked 3/10 service however was great.

Went there a couple of days ago. Came around the corner to find two guys takin a picture of the coffeeshop. The budtender walks out and asks them for ID, along with us who had just joined the two confused, stoned and aspiring photographers. We entered, and upon arrival bought a gram of laughing buddha, sweet tooth and Neville A5 sativa. All three were lovely smokes.Decided to return the next day, only to be stopped on the door, and told that the form of ID my friend was using wasn't valid. He uses a provisional driving license. He said he couldnt come in as these licences were the easiest to forge, even though my friend used this ID to get into the same coffeeshop a day before. This prick, whoever he was, was very rude and told us that because we were allowed to smoke in there yesterday, with the ID my friend had, we put at risk closing down barneys and gettin the budtender sacked..... Now im quite a calm person normally, but this dude was literally takin the piss. How would it be our fault if Barneys closed down?! It would be the budtenders fault for serving us and allowing that form of ID to be accpeted. We were made to feel guilty and responsible for this right out on the street, to great embarassment, with others queing behind us. I began to question him on this, but he made out we were starting an argument, which we were not. I said 'mate, we understand we are not coming in, and we're not starting an argument. Im merely asking a question. why does every coffeeshop we've been to, including this one, accept his ID, and yet when we come today you wont take it?' To which he responded 'it is the home office not me'. So for this treatment, Barney's was a shit experience. Dont go. Overpriced, Rude budtender and crap atmosphere.

I am thinking twice before go to this place in June... It seems a lovely cozy, charming and quiet place... Weeds seems to be Ok, not wonderful but not bad... But something tell me I must don't go there, correct me if I am wrong.

If you're referring to the one who refused us entry, he was tanned, short hair and spoke with a kinda foreign accent, not dutch, maybe like middle eastern. Wasnt dressed smartly like the other people serving, which lead me to believe he was a manager doing a visit or something? Seeing as he also mentioned about us shuttin it down and gettin staff sacked, kinda how i drew that conclusion.

i know whom your talking about...he moroccan i think! saw him go the same thing last trip in side the shop screaming at these 2 english guys..whom i think was under age..but again i could be wrong...he never dare to ask me for ID and i dont think he event wanna ask just cause of my look i give to certain ppl and he was one of them only one guy at Barneys thats cool and it the asian // english <<he asian but speaks brit! the rest are total asshole the long haired british guy is the biggest ass one can meet and if he ever start whit me (wont happen) like i told him ill make he asshole bigger<<<total asswipe!!What ev i only go when asian guy is here or the jamaican if he still around if not i just walk buy turn on next straat an walk down to Siberie...

This mustve been him! Now that you mention it, he did look more morrocan than arabic! lol. But yeah, in your words, he was a total asswipe. If I hadn't have already been so baked, I probably wouldve stayed and argued. But I also didnt wanna become one of those pricks that go to amsterdam and start trouble. Its a peaceful place and should be kept that way. Just hard to keep your cool when your patience is challenged by such a dick.
