420 is one of my favourite coffeeshops, I've been going for about 15 years and always enjoy the atmosphere. The staff are always super-friendly and helpful.

So it pains me to report that I bought the worst bud of my trip here - Neville's Haze. The BT recommended the strain for a nice morning buzz, and as I'm familiar with the strain and trusted the shop, didn't bother inspecting it before purchase. It turned out to be really bad, straight off the plant and totally uncured, with a nasty chlorophyll smell and taste. I've rarely smoked weed as poor as this, even in the UK, by Amsterdam standards it was laughable (and not in a good way). I think it was around E13/14, to add insult to injury.

I still rate 420 as one of the best places to spend a few hours in Amsterdam, but I'll inspect any purchases much more thoroughly in the future...or just buy my smokes elsewhere.

Stopped in for a g of Nepal on Sunday. Bobby is failing to defend his territory against the black cat who seems to like visiting, aggressively. Shrugging it off here:

And the black cat is not a psycho, unlike the other one. I saw Bobby misbehave badly twice on our visit in April and May.

Called on here because of tradition. Picked up a gram of White Widow. Smelt nice, but lacked flavour.

Same here in January regarding Neville's haze,. Looked shaked and smelled like hay (I normally don't primarily care about bag appeal in any way)
And since they demanded a minimum purchase of 1g I didn't bother with it at that price and went on.

Proper Neville's Haze is hard to come by. It's easy to grow mediocre Neville's Haze, but it's very difficult to master it. And considering the yield and the time involved, it's never cheap.

PISSES ME OFF to see some shops taking advantage of Neville's Haze's reputation and selling low-quality. I've found shitty hay-like Neville's Haze at other places too. Usually with a salesman story like "Oh, it's supposed to look and smell like this, because it's SATIVA, it's supposed to be subtle you know".

Such a shame.

My BF picked up a gram each of 420 Haze and 420 Kush from here on Tuesday. Had a joint from each and gave me the rest as a souvenir.

you have them mixed up, the haze is the nice looking one and the kush is the bad one
They must find it difficult, those who have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority
