Coffeeshop: Sensi Museum Coffeeshop
Date of visit: 11/20/2006
Rating: Liked the shop!
We really liked the laid back vibe that permeated the atmosphere here. We stopped in here for a well needed respite from the C-cup Coffeeshop crawl. As cannabis cup judges we were directed to an upstairs room with a few “chill” areas that were decorated with low tables and pillows. We were given a breeding history of their cup entry “Jack Flash” and a vaporizer taste along with a few buds €9/gr. Even though we didn’t like the cup entry the Sensi Coffeeshop went all out and we really liked it.
That upstairs area rocks but was rarely open on most of my visits. Trip about 4 years ago listened to Substance by New Order all the way thorough while taking it in turns to head downstairs to pick up ice cold bottle of Heineken.
A great coffeshop which becomes even better when the upstairs is open.
Since about the beginning of this year the upstairs area at Sensi Seeds was permanently closed by the city of Amsterdam because that area was not zoned for a coffeeshop.
This Sensi Seed location has not had a coffeeshop license for about 10 years. The only Sensi Seed "Coffeeshop" that sells marijuana/hash is in Rotterdam.

that was about the coolest place (besides the Dolphins) in all of the dam to hang & chill out even if you did have to serve yourself most of the time.
This was a fun place to smoke some hash and weed, and get some reasonably priced drinks. We took a window seat to watch the people in the district go by, and then were joined by about half a dozen brits swarming into the table. But all in all still maintained a good energy with a friendly staff.

Its now a sensi seeds shop. a redeeming factor is they've got a wider range of merchandise now (for all you coffeeshop t-shirt collectors)
These same items have been available for many years only 20 meters away next to the Sensi Museum. Seems like a real waste of a great place to chill while Sensi already owns 2 seed shops within 100 meters of this prior cafe. It was a very popular hangout for many American expats and others. A great viewing place to watch Amsterdam happen.

oh i agree 100%, it was a nice spot.
i already own the sensi seeds logo t-shirt, i got it about 4 years ago, from the seed bank, and i swear this time, they had two or three totally new design t-shirts. hence why i bought a new one.
Shame you cant buy weed here. Its still a nice place to bring your own smoke and chill watching the day go by. Was only a 30 second walk from a hotel so it was usually a place to start and end the day with a nice joint
