Good question. Get the feeling I might be wasting my money at some shops as they might just be cashing in on cup tourists.

With other places I don't like the weed/staff/shop/location/vibe anyway so am also a little hesitant to try them.

Is everyone else just going to their favourite shops and judging the best of that comparatively small group?

Would love to get everyone's ideas on what the judging part of the comp means to them and how they go about it.

Is everyone else just going to their favourite shops and judging the best of that comparatively small group?

Pretty much as you said as well as the shops offering the best freebies/deals or have some hyped strain that I'm curious to check out. Last year, my buddy and I tried to hit all of the shops and we made it to all but 3 without too much effort. In the end, it was certainly a fun experience but one I probably won't be repeating as I feel like we bought a lot of weed that we wouldn't have otherwise. Kosher Kush from Voyagers and White Fire OG from Utopia were our go-to smokes and neither shop were entered. The quest, however, does get you fully in the Cup spirit. Hopefully last year was an anomaly and vapor bags will once again flow at the expo, which makes it easier for the judges to sample more entries.

Would love to get everyone's ideas on what the judging part of the comp means to them and how they go about it.

I really enjoy the voting aspect of the Cup, although I wonder what it truly means when not every judge has sampled every entry. In the two Cups that I have attended, I just voted for my favourite entry: Kosher Kush in 2011 and then Shoreline last year.

Yes, not all shops restrict sales of cup entries, plus day after cup its wide open

So can we talk music? I definitely will go to hear the Wailers. Any other must see bands? I'm not into Rap but Rock and Roll, Blues, Reggae and Jazz are great. Any suggestions on clubs?
