alright you can stop bitching now

do you think i use the word gay as a swearword? what was wrong with my post? there are a lot of gay bars there... and thats not a problem for me, i thought it was interesting to see that district, whats your problem? maybe it was a problem for the budtender, and thats why the people who have posted their bad experiences with this shop didnt feel comfortable in there...?

"oh he wrote the word gay, he is sooo narrow minded..." who is narrow minded?! please smoke a joint and calm down, i didnt mean to piss off anyone, thanks

edit:
please send me a pm to tell me what is wrong with my post, because i (think i) only wrote what i think it is, and maybe thats an explanation for people not being treated friendly in there (by maybe a bit narrow minded people), and if everyone reads this like an insult, i should edit it. could be due to my (or your) bad english, i dont know
anyways please stop throwing poopoo

Pretty nice coffeeshop with good music. I didn't buy any weed and menu didn't look particularly impressive. I bought a space muffin for 4.5 euro - waste of money. The guy behind the counter was friendly and approachable.

I do love this coffeeshop. Popped in on Friday, picked up some white widow and cristal skunk. Never have any problem with the weed, but I did notice the prices were lower than Aug last year but that didn't seem to reflect on the smoke.
Great service. I like the fact that its smoking room is shut off from the shop as it makes a great chill and chat area. :D

Tried to buy a orange juice and was told I couldn't unless I bought some weed. I was thinking of buying some after I'd taken some time to look at the menu, but I refused to be forced into buying so I left.

Last time I passed this place which is nowhere near the gay district (AFAIK) it had a 2g buy minimum sign posted. I voted with my feet and walked on. Maybe they should hire live comedians to provide entertainment in line with their name/theme and justify the 2g min purchase rule?

I hadn't read about this place, so I tried it. The budtender looks like dude we call "Angry Anderson" in Australia. The missus wanted the loo. So i had a smoke. Bought some cristal skunk as it smelt better than another skunk he had. It was only 8 euro. Smelt spewey, looked skunkish all yellow like and crystally. Pleasant smoke little hint at skunk flavour. But no real flavour much. nice stone though, maybe not so long lasting. The pre rolled joint I had from there first was terrible, too much tobacco. the dude wasn't overally nice, bad I'm glad as I did get the little hint of gayness. That didn't scare me off though, and might go back.

i have never been in a coffee shop before where i felt so unwelcome...they were just plain rude n the bartender was much worse than the budtender! we were waiting for our train so wanted to smoke our last.he refused to serve me drinks unless i bought weed - i've never been to any coffee shop before that doesn't let you smoke your own as long as you buy drinks! plus the doorway is deadly - stepped out the door into the path of a car!!!! really funny people !

sounds like a rather unpleasant visit - im gonna have to stop by and see for my self and give a report on how i was treated as well -- horrible hospitality - i think maybe during cup time some of the tenders get mad that they see so many people on vacation while they are at work - who knows..

Popped in here Thursday the 16th Aug for a buy and fly visit. The place was heaving, which was nice to see.
Purchased White Widow, Northern Lights, Cristal Skunk and their Haze. All decent smokes, the Haze was very enjoyable. Good service even though they were flat out.

Went here in November, bought the funny skunk for 7.50, had a quick chat with budtender about situation in colorado and washington and said how england needs to catch up, he was an older bald guy defiantly not on steroids, maybe this place has changed owners, went back on last day of trip and chilled for hours, will be going back hopefully for same good service but who knows regarding this place after some of the previous posts

On Saturday, 12 April, here is something that I observed while walking around Amsterdam: As I walked by Funny People, I noticed that the word "coffeeshop" is no longer on any of their signage and their green and white coffeeshop window sticker was not on display. Instead, the place is being billed as Funny People Snacks and Drinks and as a "Smoker Friendly" lounge. Now, I am no fan of Funny People but I also hate to see any coffeeshop go away, and apparently this one has.
