Ah, thanks for the response and nudge on this Tom, appreciated!

Ah yes I think I saw something on YT about Gummy Bears at Bagheera's, so going to check there for sure. Always hearing good things about het Gelderse too but never ventured. Will be making a trip there too and reporting back!

Never been to Hashtag either, so really grateful! :)

Gone are the days of a 7am toke in Noon (not that I ever liked it) - Think it's Terps Army 2 now.

Getting excited now... any more for any more?!...

Amazing!!... and Jealous!...

Yeah, will look forward to any recommendations between now and then!

I used to like loft back in the day, smoking nice hash with all the taxi drivers, but only pick up now of course which was disappointing, and Hunters around the corner just the same...

This is my first time staying in De Pijp, and looking forward to scoping a few things out around there too although never been to any of these: - Using the trusty directory for advice, cheeky look at menus pre-trip... will be reporting back!..

Hey @Old Time Stoner hope you have a great trip.

I'd echo Tom's advice on Solo, Bagheera and Gelderse for sure. Not been to Abraxas for years and I've not been to Hashtag yet.
I really rate de Kade just south of Vondelpark. Good product, good prices, nice staff, cool decor and never any issue getting a seat. It's a must visit every trip for me.
A recent-ish find for me has been Chapiteau, just west of Marnixstraat. It's a real off the radar gem. Buy and Fly only but the quality is excellent and the prices are so low it's silly.
Honourable mentions for 137 and Siberie too.

For morning smokes I like to hit Rookies near Leidseplein. I think it may be 8am opening but it's only a stones throw from de Pijp and I love the window seat or terrace for a bit of people watching. Easy Times round the corner opens at 7am I think so if I'm early I sometimes stop in there, although the coffee is just a paper cup machine thingy.

Would love to hear how Aktama is - I'm partial to a western crawl and would sure welcome another quality addition round there.

Have a blast x

I finally found out how to reply to a message in a thread! :)

Yeah, will 100% share my Atkama experience, shame I was a few days early last time. I heard good things about 156 and was looking forward to it and was a shame to see it gone... There was De Bommel around the corner, but their menu looks trash... Will share my experience! :)

De Bommel is tiny, only been once and the weed wasn't great. I mu h prefer Ruthless on Hoofdweg . Also el Marsa and Massawa. Love the Western suburbs, totally different experience to the centre. Chapiteau the cream of the crop for me round there, even if it is a little further.

Yeah I thought that too about De Bommel, plus they open for about 20 mins a day which is never good. I thought I'd been to Ruthless, but I realise I was was further up Hooftweg, I was at New Amsterdam. - Got some nice cream hash here cheap.

I'm like you, I like it out west, far more than city centre for me although not enjoying that most are just pick up now, and I'm hoping for those vibes in De Pijp too. I'll be checking out Chapiteau I think this time, I also want to check out Catch 33 and it's only round the back of it somewhere isn't it? - I'd written Massawa off, purely on it being out of the way a little bit, so going to have to put the effort in this time!

Any experience of Kashmir Lounge btw? - Can you have a beer and smoke here, and if so any feedback? - Better places?

Thanks again Mate! :D

Oh yeah - I'd forgot about New Amsterdam, not been yet so must hit it up in July. I like the tenders at Ruthless, I asked about some strain and he just said "It's trash, avoid" - I appreciate that honesty, gave me a free lighter too, there's a smoking room in the back but I've only ever bought and er.. flought :D . There's also Flashback in that little cluster although it's not somewhere I'd rush back to. I'm yet to visit Dream, it was shut when I tried.

Chapiteau, Catch 33 and Freedom are all within a few streets of each other.I've been to Freedom but can't really remember much - it was OK I think. I'd max out 5 grams from Chapiteau, have a look at Freedom and hole up for a smoke at C33 - it's got a nice little back room. I was a bit non-plussed by the bud I got from C33 last trip but had some nice hash the trip before. Also Westerpark is pretty nice if you like smoking al fresco.

Never been to Kashmir Lounge although it's been on my radar for donkeys years, with the way things are going in the RLD it may be worth a go. I believe you can smoke and drink there. Unfortunately recent changes look to have affected many of my usual haunts - Batavia has new ownership and is no longer canna friendly, Hill St Blues, Stones etc on Warmoestraat have been hit with this RLD smoking ban - anyone know if Suzies Saloon is the same? I'm thinking Spuistraat for smoke friendly bars now - Black Dog, Doors Palace, Schuim etc It's getting harder that's for sure. Theres a place @TokeingTom goes to near Plug but I've forgotten the name, Big Shots? If you have any recommendations I'd love to hear them too

Hey, thanks again... The one across from Plug Utopia is indeed smoke friendly, although I'm not sure if this place has also been impacted.. I think it was 2019 I was in here last. - I'll be going here at some point I think so will report back. I didn't know there were more on Spuistraat, that's great to know, I just thought they were mainly on Warmoestraat and like you say, seem to be being impacted.

Thanks for the words of advice about Chapiteau too, that's really good to know. I'll be checking it out 100%. This will also give me an excuse to nip over to Frederick Henrickstraat too, maybe check out the plug and see what'd at De Supermarkt, I think it's the same chain as Siberie, and Loft these days. We will see.. Not sure if this is also now pick up only.

26 days and counting, back to the motherland!.. :)
