My Time at the Secret Swiss Hash Den: The Full Story
Some of you already know about my three spring trips to Amsterdam between 2012 and 2014. Some of you were even there with me. But there's a part of those trips I never wrote about in detail until now.
Every year I took a few days away from Amsterdam to visit my Swiss associate. Some of you know him as bakshish on IRC. He ran a private operation out of his apartment in a small Swiss town. Referral only. Nine varieties of hash. A tiered menu system that only the most trusted clients ever saw the top of. Zero-Zero sourced from the same Moroccan supplier as 1e Hulp.
I finally wrote the whole story up and published it on Medium. If you know your way around a coffeeshop menu you'll appreciate what made this different.
Link below. It's a 13 minute read and worth every minute.

I enjoyed that, Heinz sounds like he was the real deal.
Got me feeling like going back to get some nice hash when I am next in town.

You are right on! As a younger man, Heinz had spent a good amount of time in the southern part of India, He and his cousin rented a small bungalow on a beach and they did body surfing. He said they could afford a long holiday on India because it was very cheap there. He also said that when you are in India you must pay the bakshish.RoMoney wrote: Sat 28th Feb 2026 05:41 am Thanks for sharing!

I wonder if you could give me some advice? I've got a decent amount of videos from Amsterdam and have no idea on how or what it takes to make a travel video like you do.
