does anyone have a recent menu?

How are the prices now?
I saw a menu from last year and it seemed they had pretty good prices.

I've paid 14e a gram for Amnesia Haze and I think that the Greenhouse Special is somewhere around 10e a gram. Don't know about the rest, smoked too many Amnesia, haha

When we were there the Northern Lights and Greenhouse Special were great smokes. Not mind numbing like some of the other strains available but a great representation of the plant imo.

any news regarding the tobacco situ in GHE? I emailed to ask an they said pure/mixers only, but thats the official line from most places even tho reports here say be discreet an your fine almost everywhere, anyone whos been recently?

I stayed at the Hotel a few weeks ago, as long as you are discreet you are fine with tobacco in the rooms and the bar.

While I was waiting to check in a bunch of lads who were staying there were talking to the girl behind the bar (not sure of her name, a really nice English girl), the conversation went like this.

Lad: So what's the deal with smoking tobacco here?

Girl: Well, officially you can't smoke tobacco but it's pretty much impossible for us too prove someones smoking tobacco...

Lad: Oh...But is it OK to smoke pipes or bongs of pure?

Girl: Thats no problem and, as I say, what we don't know can't hurt us...

Lad: Oh...But could you smell the tobacco if we were smoking it?

Girl: Well, yes, I could smell it but it'll only be cleaners going in your rooms and it's something that is very hard for us to stop...

At this point I just wanted to say to the lad "Mate, read between the fucking lines, apart from explicitly giving you permission there's not much more reassurance she can give!"

This however didn't seem appropriate

And unbeleivably the lad ended up saying "Oh well were just stick to pure."

So to cut a long story short, it's fine, as long as you hold it down, we were smoking in the bar as well, no problem.

^^ LOL, thats quality, what a joey. Id have wanted to say exactly what you were thinking, bless him.

We stayed in Oct, and the quality english girl you spoke of (why does no one know her name?) was talking to some other guys saying "by 5 or 6 at night the place is full of locals smoking cigarettes, so honestly, dont even worry about it"

We smoked mixed all the time, and did in most places. I thought it was gonna be much more of a bitch than it actually was.

Anyway, The GHE. I have always liked it, as a coffeshiop, and as a bar. But we stayed there in the hotel, and we now love it as a place of accomodation too.

The service just COULD NOT be better. Nothing is too much trouble for them, the discounts are excellent, breakfast buffet is tremendous, and the location is ideal. We are trying one of their apartments in March, but I would highly recommend The GHE for any of your amsterdam needs

Is it true that GHE is selling 20g of Purple Haze for 50euro????

As the limit for sale per person is 5g per day, I don't think they will be advertising this particular promotion. They may well offer this, but it would be a strictly ask and they will tell you kind of affair.
