Lol. Mellow Yellow was a shithole a few years ago
I remember the first time I went back after the refurb, the difference was astonishing.
Like you say though, the Herb quality has never been in question.

Greenhouse sucks. Got some really lame NYC Diesel and the budtender was a total douche. Barney's may be expensive but they have the best budtenders I have seen yet. Granted only been to 3 places so far but GH was the pits. :?

The OG Kush I bought over from the Harlemstraat location was by far one of my favorite smokes of the trip. Real unique flavor and a banged up, heavy indica high.

Highly recommended!

Munch Bunch Summary

This is the highest scoring coffee shop that we have visited and rated so far. As soon as you enter the venue, your eyes are drawn to the floor, where a sunken five-panel glass fish tank is situated. The toughened glass allows you to walk over the fish tanks, and whilst high this is an unusual feeling. The rest of the flooring was of pristine black marble, which looked very stylish against the burgundy walls. The other most noticeable feature were the large Samsung plasma’s on the walls, which played various music videos. The speaker systems on the higher parts of the shop were modern and state of the art, and the music level although loud created a vibrant atmosphere; most people were cheerful and enjoying themselves. When we were there they were playing popular music, ‘I Will Survive’ stood out the most as the sound system belted it out loudly. When we visited we sat by the entrance on some comfortable plush fake leather seats, the whole shop had a new car feel to it. The view from the front of the shop, where we sat, was pleasing although nothing special, a busy street with some unusual shops to look at.

The bar was well staffed and menus were available on both bar and tables. The menus were comprised of a vast selection of meals, snacks and drinks, more than we had seen in any other shop, ranging from hot drinks, smoothies, milkshakes to burgers, pizzas and baguettes. All food and drinks appeared to be freshly made by the friendly and helpful waitresses. After getting our drinks from the bar we picked up the drug menu, it offered a wide selection just like the drinks and food. Some of their own brands had won several trophies and awards proving that this coffee shop was well established. We chose the PowerRent, which smoked close to perfect and is highly recommendable.....

Greenhouse was my least favorite shop of the whole May 09 trip. The budtender at Haarlem St and Centrum were both rude and in fact the only two rude budtenders I met in Amsterdam. The bud also was a disappointment. I couldn't wait to try the Super Lemon Haze and one of the Arjan's Hazes. When I asked for a recommendation among the Arjans he recommended Super Silver Haze instead. I bought it and it was nothing special either. The SLH didn't have even a hint of citrus and the buzz was unremarkable. I recommend anywhere but GH.
