Dampkring was my favourite, but that was before i had been to Mellow Yellow, Green Place and De Kuil, which are my top 3 now :D :D
tweed just pipped it to the post for me just ahead of 420, probably cos ive been going there longer and they have more extensive menu, i do like that bright old bar type feel to a cs, my 3rd fav is hgf, then katsu, then damkring.
Sir Niall what change do u mean? the addition of the rifman?

Easy Times and Tops; great owners and bud-tenders, very clean shop (toilets were very clean), reasonable prices, excellent coffee and right along a great canal.
Tried 24 shops in the Dam, including the highest rated ones on several days at different times, and these two shops are the best, IMO.
Their menus were extensive; the quality of their weed and hashes were the finest I had. Their Cheese was the best cannabis strain I tried during this trip. Their own special Moroccan hash is a beautiful color, fresh texture and aroma and the only thing that came close was the Isolator at WW Sinsemilla in Haarlem.
Kudos to the folks at these shop for they seem to work hard at making their customers feel welcome and satisfied with their purchases.
I will book accommodations closer to this shop next visit. :D

Basjoe just edges out Mellow Yellow and Homegrown Fantasy for me. Saying that, Paradox is ace, as is Sanemanterang, so is Siberie and Media. Katsu is quality...and I can honestly say I loved Pacific too.
Damn.... I give up

Although most of these coffeeshops have some amazing features, I went with the legends that own the classic Dolphins. The atmosphere downstairs is so amazing it is so easy to get lost in your thoughts and stare at the walls for hours. I love the way that the whole downstairs is laid out so well as well.

There are many more that would be in my top choices though.

And add a few others like little and old amsterdam and (i think you get the point) this poll was created then, I still haven't voted on it :)

My favorite coffeeshop changes depending on which mood I'm in, but currently top 3 for time spent in them are 420, HGF, Katsu, and there isn't much between them these days. I also love bluebird and quite a few others. I still need to get to paradox and sanamenterweg (sic) too.

Damn, just not enough time to do all these coffeeshops :)

Favorite coffee shops

Post by Westiekev »

This is not fair.
How do i choose a favorite from so many great coffe shops,I can understand voting for least favorite (though any shop could have a bad day its just POT luck!) but all the ones on this list have been great when I've visited them (and there are several other greats not on the list).
So very sorry just can't vote on this one.

have to say its the mellow yellow for me, been going to amsterdam since early 80's and and again on tue & have always stopped in to rasta baby for 1st smoke (and a few drinks when younger) then off to mellow yellow to stock up for hotel, after that every shop is worth a visit & purchase to try & find something original (although aint been able to find any little gems of smoke in few years :( )
got some haze from rasta in december & it closed my throut so much to the point i could barely breath, only lasted for about 10 mins and got a free bag in exchange 4 what was left of it 3 days after buying it (they know i wouldnt complain unless somethings not right) other than the weed we couldnt think what else couldve caused it other than perhaps an insect bite of somekind as theres so many people from all parts of world going thru schipoll, just another experience, also the grasshopper was one of my faves but that was way back when it was just a little shop & before it was a tourist rip off with extra floors for dance etc, couldnt vote as mellow yellow not in list :( but it is the best (for me) in price for the quality, saying that even they throw in the odd crap stuff but they never force a sale if i dont fancy the look of something, even the 5 pre rolls we bought in december where top notch, even if it is just bits n bobs in them
roll on tuesday :D
P.S if staff from MY read this stock up on your cakes (both kinds) as dont want to see you's running out this time :)

soooo maybe its just me but ive been to holland 3 times and the first time i went i completely bypassed AMS other than the train from schipol to centraal. But anyways i was sayin that i was over amsterdam b4 i even got there. My stepdad was a lawyer for the UN and was living in den haag, so i got to visit him and travel around whenever i wanted (from Houston, Texas). I love the smaller town feeling while high, my fav city is Utrecht but second is Den Haag. This is b/c the peeps are much more friendly, the bud/hash is waaaaaay better and MUCH CHEAPER. The best coffeeshop in all NL is in the hague. CREMERS in Den haag is one of the Best! They have the freshest, and heaviest chron you can get plus once you buy in their lil buy room all you have to do is walk out one door and in another and YOU CAN SMOKE YOUR PURCHASE WHILE DRINKING YOUR ALE! Hot chicks great beer, awesome 2x1 happy hours!!!!

GO TO CRAMERS IN DEN HAAG!!!!!!!!
