Menu didn't change much but I was happy I could score some lovely hash there .

'Marnesia Nights'(pricey at 16€/g) is supposed to be hashish from amnesia plants grown and harvested in Morocco. Intense, pungent smell and taste. If not particular like amnesia. Dark, very oily and squidgy. Pretty strong uplifting high.
If true , nice idea producing such special batches in a traditional way(on the other hand another loss of landraces etc.)

Now they're not selling pre-packed baggies anymore but per gram(pre-packed though).

@ Jesscass I agree with you the menu has changed a lot but I have to say they still have so nice quality... all strains are bio grown and well cured.

They had some Kc Jones on their menu. One of my favorite strains now . The taste is so damn nice and the effect is pretty strong... the taste is a little bit like Chocolope a fruity kind of taste... but much better ( I don´t kike Chocolope so much). The effect is a very nice sativa high for nearly 45 minutes followed from a stoned effect. It was on the the indica menu but it has a high sativa content.

I also tried the Marnesia Nights Hash. The effect was a pretty strong uplifting high like Jesscass said... I liked the unique taste, too.
Also the mexican melt Ice Hash (27€/g) made from mexican haze had great quality! Super sticky black hash with a superb taste made me so high

So the menu is not so big as before but they still have a nice range of weed and hashes with a superb quality.

the price was 11€/g I think the name of the strain was Casey Jones not like kc jones I wrote before my mistake...

damn I am not sure if they have 5g deals I never bought 5g of 1 sort in a shop so I don´t look at the 5g deals...

Grey Area and some other shops sell Casey Jones in Amsterdam (never tried it there because it´s pretty new I haven´t seen it on any menu before) but the quality of the batch from Toermalijn was very nice

Good to know Toermalijn's got Casey Jones on the menu. Had Grey Area's version in May but wasn't that impressed to be honest. Would like to try this version though. Nice they're still updating the menu.

Also good to know that Marnesia Nights is still on offer so others can sample it.

5-gram-deals: I'm sure I read somewhere that they are doing some. Personally I'm not really interested as - like Marok21 said - I like to sample different strains. On the other side most coffeeshops only offer a ridiculous small discount !

Looking forward to travel to Tilburg again in 2011!

have bought some Casey Jones yesterday and it's really delicious. (price was 11,5/g)
So nice tasting and a really high effect ...

Also tried their Gucci (90% kush / 10% cheese) which is a really nice strain too. (10/g)

They dont make 5g deals anymore

Luckywise I had the opportunity to visit Tilburg again

Unfortunately Casey Jones was finished but to be honest I heartedly don't care as I got some NL5xHaze(12,5€/g) instead ! Crystal coated and stinky bud. Trippy and very stoney high. On par with Rokerij's version in Amsterdam, if not better. Toermalijn's is organic though!
Space Haze(12,5€/g)was excellent too, very trippy high.

Now they had White Choco(11,5€/g)on the menu. According to them it's indeed 'White WidowxChocolope' in opposite to Dampkring's version in Amsterdam where I'm sure they didn't gave any details about genetics(still nice strain though). Whatever, both examples are two different strains in my humble opinion. Toermalijn's made me well stoned and that's what counts, eh!?

Also had Maroc Polinator(11€/g)which was a bit old but gave me a pleasant high.

Their Cheese and Marnesia Nights are still excellent too I can tell you by the way !

Casey Jones is back(refering to the menu it's supposed to be ThaixTrainwreckxSour Diesel), agree with Marok21, nice version of this strain!

Also had Royal Habibi(hash from Morocco, 12€/g)which provided a nice stoney high.

Have been there this week. Hash Plant Haze(12,50€/g) and Melana Cream(16€/g)new on the menu. First one a superior example for the 'name game' coffeeshops among others play(due to this hypocrite backdoor policy etc.)as it was '100% sativa' according to the menu . Nice enough smoke though with a nice kind of up high.
Latter one was a very soft and great smelling indian hashish. Usually I'm not a big fan of blacks as they(nowadays I heard)often lack a punch in opposite to good moroccans but this piece did the trick nicely(on the other hand far too much money to pay for). Trippy and uppy high, recommended!

shops outside amsterdam useally dont see much diffrence between Widow , Rhino , Russian , or even Powerplant lolz

Visited Toermalijn on Saturday , and would have to say it was probably the best of the three CS I visited (De Muze and Grass Company) very welcoming woman on the drinks counter , the guys on the budcounter were welcoming enough and happily showed me what I wanted (pre-bagged) and also were happy to recommend something , I went with the Diamond Haze and New York City Diesel both really nice tasty weed (NY was prob the best version iv had in a while)

Rolled up a couple spliffs then took my coffee out to their relaxing courtyard with water feature etc chilled there with my book for a while

Was asked for ID straight away at the door , also they have a three gram maximum purchase

I returned later and bought 1G of White Choco not bad but nowhere as good as the now legendary batches from Boerjongens/Dampkring , I probably could have purchased another three grams as it was different tenders but hey I was chilled and didn't want to rock the boat especially with all the attention coffeeshops are getting just now

I have been visiting Toermalijn in Tilburg every 8 to 10 weeks in the past three years, mainly for my favourite AK-47 from their menu. They used to have good 5 g deals, and I liked the uncomplicated, friendly staff a lot. I enjoyed the garden and a coffie verkeert for a couple of times as well, if Dutch weather allowed.

Early October (6th), I was there once again during a stay in Tilburg, and I learnt about their new 3 g per person per day rule. I was told by the staff it had to do with a coffeeshop (Arabic or Moroccon owned) that had just been closed or forced to be shut down around 200 m down the street. I knew there was another CS, but I never visited it. Anyway, they had decided in conjunction with the city council only to sell 3 g per person from now on to avoid congestion in Toermalijn.

This week I was at Toermalijn again, and the situation seemed to have changed. They had their old 5 g pppd sign fixed at the counter again, so I was naively enough to ask whether the old rule had replaced the 3 g limitation. A rude and unwelcoming lady with Slavonic accent replied "Deutsch?". "Pardon me...?" - "Are you German?" - I replied I had a German passport, yes, as shown to the door man. "You can´t buy from here" was the answer. I was confused and asked whether they won´t sell to any foreigners anymore. Reply: "No foreigners".

So I left Toermalijn, and I think it was either wrong information of rude stuff sick of German tourists or an internal requirement of Toermalijn themselves. Grass Company on Spoorlaan clearly has another politics, and the friendly staff there told me they had no problem with foreigners buying, plus they still have the 5 g rule in place.

Does any follow forum member know anything about these confusing local circumstances?

Officially, the 'wietpas' is going to be introduced in the south of the Netherlands (Brabant, Zeeland, Limburg) in januari, but last week the government deceided to give the cities some more time to get used to the 'wietpas' and there will be no penalties before may.

This means that as from januari/may coffeeshops in the south can only sell weed to people with a 'wietpas', and coffeeshops can only give a wietpas to people with a Dutch nationality who live in or around the city the coffeeshop is in. If the regulations don't change (still possible), people from Eindhoven can not buy weed in Tilburg anymore, for instance.

Some coffeeshops are trying to get used to those new rules already, or maybe they are forced by the city or the neighborhood. Most coffeeshops will sell gear to everyone as long as possible.

Been there yesterday.Spoke to the manager of the place about upcoming changes. 5g max per person until end of December 2011. Start of the wietpas in some provinces January,1st 2012. At least his version as the friendly(and knowledgeable!)budtender at De Muze told me he didn't expect it to start before June 2012, if at all.

Mayhaps all this unsureness leads to situations Rezistant told us about. How annoying.

Whatever, this time I tried 'Lavender'(new on the menu, 10,5€/g)and 'Diamond Haze'(12,5€/g). Both nice smokes but look wasn't up to scratch though. On the other hand taste and smell of the Lavender was delicious, in my humble opinion a strong influence of the afghan genetics(had Katsu's version some time ago). Smelles/tastes similar like good hashish from there.
