Got to bark a little bit on that one: So I (German, 30 years old) am less liked than a Britt in Amsterdam? LMAO! Not true, sorry to say it. Yeah WW2 sucked ass and was the most horrific crime in history so far. But there is no remorse from my behalf as I had jack shit to do with it all. Man we had shit like 911 going down and some still have to bother with ghosts from the past.

I don't think that Hotdog was talking about WWII dude...

It shouldn't matter where you're from, it should matter how you act!

Not at all, was just trying to make a point as bluntly as possible to the other guy who seems to think its loutish behavior from brits that has forced the implementation of the weed pass. I did overstate my point, which I regret, but I have, as a Brit in Amsterdam, had conversations with locals, where they have stated in their own opinion that they prefer Brits over other nations, and im sure that Brits have been slagged off the world over by locals to people holidaying there! Its swings and round-a-bouts, I was merely pointing out that to blame that to blame the weed pass on brits, and imply that we are disliked in amsterdam was not only ignorant, but also offensive. I did highlight Germany partly due to the ww2 connections, as I was just trying to make a point (albeit a little cheaply, sorry for that), but also because of the situation on the Germany / Holland boarder. As I have said before lets all hope that the weed pass does not happen, I

I'm glad we could settle this without arguing. Racism is stupid and can't be defeated with counter racism. What I love about Amsterdam is that you can meet peeps from all over the globe. Once I had a smoking session with a guy from Israel and it we had a deep conversation. He said 'when I look at you it's like looking at myself'. Indeed we looked like cousins... 8)

glad we are cool man, that qahouaji guy was just spoiling for a argument, think we all set him straight. Amsterdam is there for all to enjoy, who knows maybe we'll get to share a joint there 1 day :P and until then lets hope, and do all we can, to stop the pass.

Deutschland shares a long border with the NL ...I've heard a little about Nijmegen seeing a boost in Coffeeshop
visitors , but what about towns like Enschede , Arnhem ,Winschoten ...Did the Duitsers only behave badly in Limburg ?
Somehow I don't buy that .Would be interested in hearing news about the other border towns .

I wasn't aware of that. As a Brit I met few fellow countrymen in the Southern border towns where nuisance drug tourists have caused the most controversy.

Most head for Amsterdam and as far I've noticed most of the British knobheads are there for red light district stag weekends. The Wietpas will do nothing to stop them coming.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't look the word up before I posted and got it twisted.

Could the new government, once elected simply suspend the entire pass process introduction and leave them to carry on as normal but having to have the coffeeshops tighten there checks etc in case the government may alter the policy to introduce the pass on a coffeeshop by coffeeshop basis. Say they get caught with tourists using fake\false id or underage etc then they get the choice to get closed down or to implement the pass to stay open.

Not saying that is what the new government will do but even if they don't and just suspend the pass I'd still feel they will use the matter that the pass is there in law to prod the coffeeshops with anyway if it's felt any coffeeshop is not keeping there shop in order so to speak with how the owners run them on a daily basis.
