Not liking some of the reviews about rats, cleanliness but the location is perfect.

@ grunt- Balou is correct, we take all our bookings through hostelworld.com.

edit to add- Don't think we've had any rodent issues lately, though i do let the local cat do the rounds every week just in case.
While the place could certainly do with a lick of paint, it is kept clean and at this time of year is a decent, basic budget option.

I need somewhere to stay 29th Nov for 3 nights.

Was there just over a month ago Grunt, didn't spot any rats, bed was clean, shower was hot, place is creaking a bit and could do with a good refurb, but being able to pop downstairs for nice coffee and wake n bake was always good

Yes just open and smoke near the window so as not to set off the smoke alarm.

Has anyone on here ever actually set a smoke alarm off with weed? ...I'm sure bong smoke might be thick enough to start one off, but at least in my experience at home or on holiday, i have never set one off. I always make "adjustments" when staying in hotels, but at home i have 5 detectors and never triggered one.

I've never set one off on a hotel, but the fine is pretty steep if you do. I guess they want to be better safe than sorry.

yep,me and some mates set the fire alarm off in the quentin arrive some years back.they said we could smoke in the room,so we did,next thing all hells breaking loose with the alarm going off etc,was fun

Last week I was sitting on that little loveseat thing, and I kept blowing my giant bong rips directly up - right at the smoke alarm.. didn't mean to, but hey it didn't go off!
Back in my old house we set it off a couple times, it's like *achievement unlocked* hahah
