De Dees, Groningen

ACD Page: De Dees

My favourite Shop in Groningen so far. You can spend hours of sitting and smoking there. The Budtender shows you a Book with the Weed and Hash placed in - in 6€ & 15€ Bags. I bought their strongest weed which is very good Amnesia Haze and a bag of Repelsteeltje ( before they had Silver Haze at that place ) which was very tasty. I also would recommend their Hash like Afghan, Skuff and Polm :). BTW : Their opentimes on weekends are sometimes till 3am !!

FOA : SORRY FOR BAD ENGLISH :)) GREETZ FROM GERMANYY

December, 2015:

Huge shabby place on about three levels. Internet points available but sign at the bar clearly states 'We don't have Wi-Fi, talk to each other' which is a philosophy after my own heart :D . And what a zeer gezellig place this is with lots of young people and closing quite late(on weekends I was told until 3AM in the morning) with lots of pubs and stuff nearby located in the centre. As said atmosphere is nice and would be my local hangout for socialising. Spent lots of time in there. Again two types of bags here and samples are shown in a separate book for hasj and wiet(you have to ask for speicifically). Nothing very special on but I went for their Gardalla(moroccan, about 8-9€/g)which did the trick nicely.

February 2016,

Finally De Dees had open at this Saturday. It was already 13.00 when they opened.
Went through their 6 € and 15€ Weed / Hash Book and was very happy to see Lemon Haze there. Couldnt resist and bought 2x 6€ and 1x 15€ Bag of it. Really nice taste and effective, but in my opinion the LH i got from Hoogezand was a bit better :p
Also bought their Amnesia Haze for 6€ and rolled it in a blunt mixed with some of the Lemon. The AH was the same good Weed as always. Nothing to complain, but like the LH - Hoogezand got very pretty AH/SH/LH Buds there ( maybe Groningen aswell but only checked Haze there :D )
Many old faces i saw in the shop but also a lot of teenagers , was a good time anyway

I didn't spend long enough in Groningen when I visited some years back. But of three c/s I visited I did like this one and spent most time there chatting to interesting people and just feeling like it was pretty perfect. Good prices for good product, good staff and just a lovely atmosphere. I was there sort of late afternoon early evening so people finishing work and later university students. I remember a great chat with a lecturer from the school of architecture and an Iranian/Persian carpet salesman. Yes a good CoffeeShop. :D
What a long strange trip it is.

July, 2016

Didn't buy anything just hanging out as usual but atmosphere was quite dead this time as only locals were hanging around. Still nice people and staff but it really was a change from last time. Especially makes you realise how fucked up and rundown that place is  . Though they had a little patio open at the back.

Groningen and it's coffeeshops remain fully open for business. :)

A really nice city.
If your getting bored with Damage, Harlaam or Hague try a few days here you won't regret it. It's a bit far to enjoy for a day trip I reckon.
Be bold, give the Dam a miss and discover the rest of Holland. :D

And if you're that far north, take in Leeuwarden as well.

I'm envious now. After several trips to Leeuwarden, I've always said I'll find out what happens at the end of that road, or rather track, not taken after Zwolle, but for whatever reason haven't done it. Maybe this summer...
