2 Days 2 go

Post by Tommy G »

Hey peeps, just had 2 post 2 say I`m off 2 the Dam on Tuesday and staying at the Greenhouse Effect till friday. Only booked the trip 2 weeks ago so didn`t have long 2 wait. This is the first time in 4 trips I`m flying there, usually take the ferry but got a reasonable deal with BMI Baby from East Midlands.
Definetly gonna hit Central this time, I always say that and never manage it as it always looks so bloody busy, but I`m determined 2 get my lazy ass out of bed early 1 morning so I can hit CCS b4 it gets busy.
Also gonna go 2 Sheeba, Hill street blues and most of em round the RLD. I know most of u peeps recommend Barneys, Amnesia and Pink Floyd but I`ve never managed 2 find any of those places and I`m crap at finding my way around, I know I`m a bit boring stickin 2 one area but hell I still have a great time.
I`ll get my bro 2 post a travelogue and hopefully some pictures, any1 around next week will see me in the evenings at the window table at the GHE with a ready rolled Greenhouse Special (I`m the 1 with the shaved head) flashing the map.
Just had 2 share that info with ya`all cos I`m buzzing cause Im there for 4 days, usually only stay 2 days and I`ve never looked 4ward 2 a trip so much. :D

Have a blast mate, Haarlemmerstraat isn't that hard to find in all honesty, do you know where The Doors, Rokerij and the Bulldog (all three next to each other) on the Singel are? if so your only a stones throw from the others.

If you dont know those coffeeshops I'll try and give you some directions:

Come out of Centraal Station and cross the roads heading towards Damrak, once you get to the Victoria hotel (CS end of Damrak) turn right and head straight until you come to the first canal (Singel) and cross over at that point you should see the 3 coffeeshops in front of you (towards the right a bit) and the road Haarlemmerstraat is as your facing the coffeeshops on the right, if memory serves me correctly there's a small bakery type place on the corner!

I've dotted (red dots) the way on the map from this site: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/itsboner/Map.gif

Cheers 4 the info Boner. I guess if I go 2 Central Station theres a good chance I could find them from there, its Pink Floyd and Amnesia I really wanna visit. I`ll be taking my brother with me and he`s pretty good at finding places and its about time I broadened my horizons. Funny u should mention the Bulldog, I did pass it 1 day when I was lost lol.

No worries, I'd 100% recommend you find your way to Picasso's, Pink Floyds and Amnesia as these are all AAA coffeeshops for atmosphere and goods!
