Greenhouse - coloured/painted seeds

i dont know if this issue has already been raised, if so i apologise...

ive just seen the you tube video, the greenhouse seed bank has released, explaining their new policy of painting seeds, so that you can easily identify what seed you have.

naturally they claim that this is perfectly ok, and infact they include a root booster to the mix, which is a positive...

im just not convinced, i cant help feel that painting a seed is going to be detremental to its chances of germinating.

anyone have any experience/opionions on this issue?

From what I've read it doesn't hurt, the coating has a root stimulator and the anti-pathogen in it which is supposed to help, the seeds world has been doing this for a while Greehouse have just been the first seed company to do it succesfully with cannabis, I wouldn't be surprised if most eventually followed suit.

These are a novelty!

i got there indica mix of 5 female coated seeds, imo the coating is a waste of time! As we all know you germinate the seed in wet paper! well when you do this the coating just breaks off and disolves into the paper! so when you put the lil seed n root into ur meduim its lost the "coating that helps germinate"!!!

the plants came out fine thou! cheese n white rhino r lookin luvly!

You're supposed to germinate them directly in your medium.

You're supposed to germinate them directly in your medium.

I understand why people paper towel it, but sticking it in the soil and letting it run is always the best option, stops any breakages from transferring it so young.

they werk fine..its a hormone coating,no gimmick,just care for the costumers.....novelty,no..sensible and helpful,yes..i like paper towel method...enjoy your weekend folks

The seeds are flavoured. Dark Red = cherry, Light Red=Strawberry, Orange = Orange, Yellow=Lemon, and so on....ha ha ha

Would be good, but according to the chart it is from cream cheese and whipped cream??

I would say it tasted more earthy like chives and peas than it does of cream cheese and whipped cream

Cheese is positioned twice on the chart, Sour and Bitter.
Perhaps it tastes like Whipped cream cheese and peas with chives as a garnish.

hi just got some of these feminised coloured seeds from greenhouse (sativa mix) seeds are super silver haze,arjans haze no.1,hawaiian snow,nevilles haze and arjans strawberry haze can anybody give me some advice on growing sativas will be growing 1 at a time in my budbox as they grow really big cheers

If growing in a confined space, then don't veg them too long as they might get too tall.
