"The Book"

Post by Rez »

For more information about "The Book" please see the thread: Pass the Parcel

Vote YES if you think that having a book stored at a coffeeshop that ACD members visiting Amsterdam could write a line or two, leave a picture, doodle, sign, add any kind of comments in would be a good idea and you would make the effort to find the book to add "your" little contribution to it.

Vote NO if you think it's not a good idea and even if it did excist you would not bother to find it to put any comments in it.

Many thanks to all that vote as it gives such a precise indication of who would use it, and numbers.

Cheers

PS: I would like to take this oppertunity to ask that as "The Book" is my "brainwave", if anybody were ever to find themselves talking about me, whether it be good or bad and for years to come, I would like to ask that, I be reffered to as: Rez, the bloke that invented; "The Book" ... :D

Great idea   Now we need to combine The Book w/a central depository where we could leave paraphenalia we've bought so others can use it rather than taking the chance of bring home. Not my idea,but...

Go 4 it Rez ...One would think there would many a CS that would be willing to host THE BOOK . Doesn't Rookies have an arrangement with Channels regarding Channels Pins ? ... "Build it and they will come" (oops.. probably not too many of the Brits watched Field of Dreams -A baseball flick)

I'd definitely seek out the book...... especially if it's in a decent place.

Which bit Az', or is it the whole "Book" thing... I feel inspired, what a responce. I know it's not going to be everybody's cup of tea (or coffee  ) but I think this really could be the start of something...

Cool, I had so much fun thinking it up and then writing my post, I just hope that everybody else has as much fun as me and that we get "The Book" up and running...

Maybe, just maybe... the 4:20 hook up could also include the birth of "The Book"...?

Any suggestions ?

I wonder if Field of Dreams is in the UK . Its got a well known cast - Burt Lancaster, James Earl Jones , Kevin Costner , I guess theres video /DVD places thru-out the UK ? ...I know I see them all over Holland and Germany
... theres a set in London, English football movie they show on the Independant Film Channel over here ...Wish I could remember the name ,or the real life team that wins an unlikely Championship. (in the film)...anyway Field of Dreams would be a good intro. to Baseball in a historical or cultural
way . Bit of a ghost story too...

Well, 100% positive feedback  what can I say...

Thank you all and Thank you DC.

Should I start a new "The Book" thread in the Travelogues (After) section for returning visitors to post their comments...?

Your thoughts please.

Yes folks I was the first to sign THE BOOK and as I was the first I didn't want to make my mark anything special.

I was stoned at the time so decided to keep it simple. I'm not really artisitically minded anyway.

I was a bit sceptical about the idea of THE BOOK at first but I'm all for it now that I've seen it and signed it.
