Saturday Afternoon by Jefferson Airplane playing as we entered this old favorite koffieshop. Great welcome back to a fine shop. Sampled a Jack/Blueberry cross called -uh Jackberry, which I thought was a fine smoke, some Sour Diesel, and Hia thruout our 3 day stay in LW all plus smokes. Very neighborhood feel, with regulars we remembered from our last visit. Music had a sort of Woodstock nation vibe. Free computer use for patrons, pool table, and old style NL tile set Scrabble game among the amenities. Down the street a half block or so from Repelsteeltje.

You become a gratis joint or gratis papers (in Friesland normally) I would the gratis joint :D and Orange Bad and Dubble Delight. The gratis joint help this shop for my positive rating, than the material (all 3 sorts) was not so good. 1 PC is in the shop and you can play billard.

Has changed ownership. It remains a friendly shop, with much the same local crowd of regulars. Though the outdoor area is no longer in use. Visited a couple times in June, music ranged from pop to some strange Frisian Surf Music (no kidding: the Surf-A's-they showed me the CD). We played a Scrabble game here one evening using a Dutch tile set (making English words), to the amusement of the regulars. Internet computer for customers.

Under new ownership, but still our favorite, most of the same staff from previous years, same friendly patrons, a bit more seating as they've rearranged things from before.
The best deal in Internet use around - free to customers.
We watched the Nederland vs. Deutschland game (during the EK04 tourney) there.
Glad NL escaped with the tie. Generally good music, pool table, photoplay.
Good prices on tea, coffee etc. as well as their smokables.
Leeuwarden seems to have the best coffeeshop scene from among the cities we've visited.
Friendly shops, nice sized shops, good pricing and a comfy homey feel.

Visited again in 03...and again friendliest proprietors and clientele in the Netherlands. Interesting music from house DJ...2nd best dart players.

We found this to be the friendliest coffeeshop we visited
(which includes stops in many cities and towns from Maastricht to Appingedam)...we entered as strangers and left with new friends.
