Far and away the best shop in Amsterdam in my opinion. Has it all, ambiance, selection, quality... what more could you want? And this is after I lived in Amsterdam for 6 months... I've been around the block and I kept going back for more at Amnesia. The Sour Diesel and the MK Ultra are far and away some of the best smokes in the city... maybe even the country.

Spent nine days living across the canal from Amnesia.Spent a lot of time there and made many purchases. The only dissapointment was the muffins. ate one and 2/3 muffin in airport prior to leaving. Real waste of $. Donated a cheap grinder/pollinator on last day.

One of the best places for a late afternoon/early evening smoke if you can get a seat outside. Inside there are big comfy tables and chairs and a great weed/hash menu!

I'm not real sure what all the buzz about this place is ...We found the Vibe loud and touristy, the top of the line weed at 11 a gram (well at least on the menu we bought off) was mediocre...not really clean ...one restroom ? ... liked their postcards though .

The woman in here was a bit funny with me at first, i dunno why. Maybe cus i'm English and shes German (we all know whos got the better footy team :P ) The iceolator I bought here was actually very good, and I don't normally go for ice hash. Overall this shop sells good smoke, and has good vibes.

The two best weeds we smoked in Amsterdam were Amnesia Haze and Laughing Buddha. The prices are high for such "connoisseur" weeds, think they were both E11.50/g, but they truly are exceptional for a change of pace. One of the best sativa sources in the city.

Disappointing, I don't see why people like this place so much.

However, I can see the attraction of sitting outside on a nice day, but that's about it.

Now, I may not be a A-dam veteran, i've only been 3 times now, however on all 3 of my trips I must say that Amnesia has been the star CS of all my trips. 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, & the kitchen sink!!!!!!

Amnesia has it all, top notch gear, decent music not played at an earsplitting level, nice ambiance, comfy seating, & friendly & knowledable service. I know this all has been already said but what I havent seen written about this place is.......The milkshakes!!!!!! My god!!!!! You'd think you have died and woke up in heaven!!!! The choclate ones would make Mr. Hershey shoot himself in embarassment!!!! The strawberry ones are the most delicious thing I have ever tasted.

If you havent been.....GO!!!! NOW!!!!! If you have gone you know what I mean. If you have been and you didnt like it....Exactly what does it take to make you happy?

It's hard to pick a favorite. It can depend on what weed you get as much as the place itself. However, if number of visits tells you anything, I've found myself in this place more than any of the others. It's a little small, but aren't they all. The seating is comfortable and arranged better than most. I'll always hit Amnesia at least twice while I'm in Amsterdam.

Just by accident the apartment I rented for 420 is just across the canal from Amnesia again, just like in May. Didn't happen that way on purpose. If people remember any of my trip reports you will know that we were directly across from it last year and I spent a lot of time ther. Never had a bad experience in the nine days I was there. Staff were always nice weed selection and quality good, and met many interesting people, mainly from England. My only complaint would be the Muffin Man muffins I bought. Ate 1 1/2 and barely noticed anything other than a headach. Other wise always enjoyed. Not my favorite, but certainly not bad

I detected an attitude problem with the boss woman at Amnesia . I was in there three times in the one morning and each time i went to the toilet . The third time she asked me if i had something wrong with me that i had to keep going to the toilet . They seem to check it after everyone uses it . It should not be a problem using a toilet each visit as i purchased a drink each time .. cow

Hope this place doesn't end up like The Bulldog

I went to amnesia a little over a year ago and the place was quaint, helpful, and very chilled. Had a buddy come visit me a few months back and apparently the shop has benefitted from all the great reviews. The inside has been re-arranged and the shop is flooded with, well...people like me; non-natives. Unfortunately, the place has lost the aura which made it so special.
Maybe I'm different from most critics. I hold a shop's vibe and appearance more dear than their exotic strain of green (b/c honestly, these places all have good junk; some are just more expensive than others.)
Amnesia has a good location, too; in Amsterdam, but just outside the cuspice of tourism. This is one example of where the owner should have spent more on employees and self rather than building his establishment.
I'll see what it looks like during the Cup week.
