just a hint about opening times - though the advertised opening time is 10am (see the basjoe entry in the main website) there are only 2 staff and they have to do the shopping and tidy up the place to the standard they expect we expect (that's why it's such a great place), the actual opening time can be nearer 11am, either a bit before or a bit after

in any case it should most likely be open by 12 noon

but in the evening it just rocks on and on until 1am

i just didn't want you to get too excited and get there too early and be disappointed ...

hope you enjoy your visit ...

Adding to SS'67, every time I have gone to Basjoe's before 12 they were closed. On my last visit a few weeks ago, I closed the place around 1am. The next day the shop opened around 1245. Can't blame them for not opening seven or eight hours later, they have to sleep sometime.

Enjoy.

If Basjoes is closed pop next door to Bagheera, Highly Blessed (the guy who works there/also a member here) will look after you.

Bagheera next door, Rusland C/S about 100m away around the corner, and there's always Green Place, winner of the 2010 Hestia Cup. :)
Take a look (not suggesting that you haven't) at the Centrum Map, Location F5-F8 (see link below). You will find a few lesser known shops between GP and Basjoe, mostly on the Oude Hoogstraat, and a few in the Nieuw Markt near GP. I haven't been to these shops in years so I'm not sure of the quality and prices. IMHO, these shops are no different (all things considered) than the more "popular" shops around town. Since you are in the neighborhood, why not give them a try? Maybe do a trip report or coffeeshop review to keep things updated.

Have a 'high' time. :)

Walked past it less than a month ago. Also check out the head shop a couple of doors down, Old Indian Shop. Worth the stop.

sorry ... off-topic message

the Old Indian Shop is amazing and must be seen ... there is so much stuff to look at, it's great

... and have you seen the poster on the ceiling ... it has so much in it that i just want to lie down on the floor and look at everything ... i try to do that standing and my neck can't cope after a little while

unfortunately i was not allowed to take a menu pic.

the la con was superb but pricey at 15€ somehow i got a fat fat gram though.
heaven haze was great and still is one of my fav sativas :)
terminator was in stock but less oily, still super heavy though!
the ice is a bargain at 25€ got me decently fucked and was quite cheap. i think 2 g of the iso will cause more damage, than a g of terminator!

My bad if I got this wrong, but are you saying that Basjoe aka James is charging 15€ for weed? If so, WTF has happened during the past couple of weeks that caused this? Highest price I've seen there has been 12€, and the last time they had LA Con the price was 12€. A three euro jump in less than three months is, well, stupefying to say the least. :?:
