So don't take it for granted Ash that you can buy weed in the shops, you should show respect one way or another and let the budtender do their job their way and be happy that you can buy weed without the worry of persecution. I for one know I would never ever reach my hand over the counter, that's a given violation of coffeeshop etiquette and any bar/drug outlet, you wouldn't do this at the pharmacy, or at the bar. Would you pour your own beer at a bar instead of letting the bartender? ~ Just my two cents.

I'm not all that fussed about the etiquette; if I feel I'm being robbed I'll kick up a fuss. Clearly thats not gonna make me the most popular person with the dealer. If you order an expensive single malt scotch, and see them pouring you some shitty blend, would you not point out the error? The guy pouring the wrong drink'll hate you - made his life harder.
Why should I not take buying weed in a shop for granted? Amsterdam certainly isn't the only place. Fuck, who doesnt know about the hidden cafes of London?
I like those people there. They've never been anything but good to me. Can't wait to go back. I'm trying to gather some funds to make the trip in November. I hear there's some fun to be had around that time of year
