I didn't see with my own eyes what Ash did but I discussed with HB and he told me that he tried to lean over and pull a stem off the bud... now in my opinion this is very "in-proper" etiquette. First and foremost I have spent more then a couple years helping people out from time to time when they needed help with bud and when i'm using my calculator weighing something out for them they never touch and or never complain about stems because if you think about it a stem on a bud of that size weighs so little... like literally a couple crumbs of weed, its one thing if were talking a 35 gram cola nugg thats one thing but were talking about a puny ass nugget. Not to mention the simple fact is were in Amsterdam people, we have a Fucking "Menu" of weed to choose from, that in itself partially explains why I love the coffeeshop culture, I can get weed just as good in the states but tend to not have a selection like I do in Amsterdam. So don't take it for granted Ash that you can buy weed in the shops, you should show respect one way or another and let the budtender do their job their way and be happy that you can buy weed without the worry of persecution. I for one know I would never ever reach my hand over the counter, that's a given violation of coffeeshop etiquette and any bar/drug outlet, you wouldn't do this at the pharmacy, or at the bar. Would you pour your own beer at a bar instead of letting the bartender? ~ Just my two cents.

So, whilst sitting right next to me you couldn't hear what she said either. Makes two of us.
I'm not all that fussed about the etiquette; if I feel I'm being robbed I'll kick up a fuss. Clearly thats not gonna make me the most popular person with the dealer. If you order an expensive single malt scotch, and see them pouring you some shitty blend, would you not point out the error? The guy pouring the wrong drink'll hate you - made his life harder.
Why should I not take buying weed in a shop for granted? Amsterdam certainly isn't the only place. Fuck, who doesnt know about the hidden cafes of London?

So........You won't be returning, I take it. Cool. More room for me 8) I like those people there. They've never been anything but good to me. Can't wait to go back. I'm trying to gather some funds to make the trip in November. I hear there's some fun to be had around that time of year   By the way things are shaping up, it looks like Voyagers is going to be the place to be...

Like the poll says, I like Voyagers, the best weed of my April trip came from there.
It takes a lot of work to develop a quality shop/hotel I wish HB and his crew all the best

Yes I would...

But I wouldn't reach over the bar and start pouring my own bevy or even think of grabbing the correct bottle... because the natural response would to be warned or be thrown out of the establishment... much like Voyageurs did.

Sad you are blinded to the error of your ways.

I'm curious about something... You refer to coffeeshops as "drug dealers"...does make you a "drug addict"?

Very interested in your response.

Of course we are drug addicts, we're 24/7 on a forum about smoking, buying, growing and legalizing pot...

The definition of an addict is someone who is physiologically dependent on a substance. You don't have withdrawal symptoms if you go a day or three without smoking weed.

anything done on a daily basis is gonna fuck up your routine and sleep patterns if you stop it after years
reading before bed is a good example. But then again I don't think it will cause sweaty feet   my feet stink whether im smoking or not, does that mean im not addicted? :D

I don't agree with you, even if you're not physically addicted you can be an addict... I don't smoke that much but if I have no reason to smoke I must admit I'll be thinking about it until I roll my joint.

If we wanna have credibility (for legalizing, changing people mind about weed, ...) we must stop to be blind like "cannabis is not addictive, is not harmful, can't fuck up your life, cures cancer, ..."
