Out of the way, but an oasis in the middle of a coffeeshop desert.
Has a large space inside, but it is a bit wasted, as smoking is only
allowed inside a cabin.
Smoke wise, I got some ropey Orange Bud (though the bud tender did
warn me) and some decent polm.Prices are competitive.

Voted a tentative yes, even though the smoking area is small, it really
is an Ok shop a long way from any other.

I noticed it one day when taking Tram 10 to the end of the line. As someone mentioned on the ACD page, there is a tram stop right there. It does seem more of a grab and go after the remodel. Never purchased there but my mate and I ordered Cokes, sat there and puffed a bowl, no problem.

If one takes the tram to the end of the line, there is some very interesting modern architecture to be seen along the way. You end up at KNSM island, lots of water.

At the end of the line is a nice cafe for beer, coffee and lunch. It has a fascinating system of belt and pulley driven ceiling fans all running off the same drive shaft, for lack of a better description.

Here is a nice tram based coffeeshop crawl based on Tram 10:

Weesperplein: walk a short distance to the north, on the west side of Sarphatistraat, to CS Trinity. Exit Trinity to the left, walk to Roeterstraat, turn left and find Het Ballontje on the left across from UvA. The Kriterion film theater is also there, cheap beer and tostis in the cafe (one of my favorite stops in Amsterdam).

Go back out to Sarphatistraat, jump back on Tram 10 and proceed to Nogal Wiedes. You will pass Brouwerij 't Ij (look for the windmill) on the way. Stop there either in the way out or the way back to/from Nogal Wiedes. Fine, fine brew here.

Across the boulevard from the brewery is CS Happy People. I have not been there but it is well reviewed.

This is a nice afternoon.

Lafe, thanks for this crawl idea. I'm not flying out until the Monday after the Cup, so I'll probably fit a modified version of this into one of my three remaining days.

Do you know the name of the nice belt-n-pulley cafe at the end of Line 10?

Do you know of any pubs along the crawl that pours Jopenkerk's Koyt? This would be a nice addition to hitting Brouwerij 't IJ, to get a sampling of a couple the Netherlands' microbreweries. And a break from regular pils (although I think the Grolsch on tap isn't too bad).

I may do a trip over to Almere to check out their modern architecture, and maybe the Blowboot coffeeshop as well. What would you recommend as the quickest and cheapest way to get there?

I don't know about the beer situation other than the places I mentioned. Have fun, and do check out the Kriterion cafe.

Good one on the 't Ij pour at Kriterion.

I recommend toking up @ Ballonetje then walking a block for a soothing brew @ Kriterion.

Very surprised by the quality here.

Asked for the best condition sativa last night and was shown the Silver Haze (12€ p/g). They also had Amnesia and Cheese at 11€p/g.

The Silver got me higher than I've been for months (maybe years even). Me and my girl we're absolutely flying on this stuff. She lives around the corner so I'm very happy with this new discovery.

This street has the fastest case of yuppie-spread I've seen in Amsterdam. A specialist oil shop, an up-scale massage parlor, expensive wine store, all just popping up in a matter of days, and this oasis still hanging-on in the midst of the pink-shirted plague!

Dreary, rainy day, so got off the tram specifically because I saw this coffeeshop. I just as easily could have stayed aboard.

Walked inside, the foyer is separated from the coffeeshop in the back. At first, I wasn't certain that it wasn't a buy-and-fly.

Me: "Oh, good, you do have a smoking area."

Budtender: "Yes but it's for members only."

You will never see me again, pal.

Popped in last week as never visited before, no.7 tram stop is right outside. Looked very much setup for just B&F now, limited menu with maybe 5 of each indicas and sativas and just 1 overpriced Cali Strain. Got some Strawberry Dream (13e/g) on a whim, it was just ok. Probably wouldn't make the effort to go back unless I was staying locally or something.
