I visited Paradox twice during my last visit to Amsterdam. The first time I was stocking up and bought 3 grams of Turkish €24 and the €12 of Ace/white widow 1.4 grams, it was just an in and out transaction.

I know that the Turkish is not to everyone's taste but I really like the flavour and high that it gives me; it can be a tough nut to crack, give it the heat of the oustide of your coffee cup for a few minutes and you can break it up quite easily. I cheat however and use a metal grinder that with a bit of hard work smashes up the hard hash. It burns clean, never rocking and gives a nice smokey pull on the joint. I honestly think for the price this is one of the standout hashs, it has a unique taste and good high. I chose the Ace to be my joint filler when I am smoking hash, it does the job a treat, not to much flavour that it is going to over power the hash and helps the kick to boot.

The second time was a couple of days latter around midday we fancied a toasty so straight away thought of paradox, unfortunately the bud tender said the machine was broken. We stayed for a few joints none the less. This time I bought a €5 sample of the kandy Kush, it was a nice joint, I do like this Kush. I have to say the five euro deals are sweet, I wanted to give a bit of money to the coffeshop but I already had some nice stuff on me, the answer €5 deals, other shops should take note.

I can not wait to see the redecorated paradox, let's be honest the place needed it. I am just hoping it will have reopened before I return in two weeks time.
I like bananas, monkey nuts and grapes. That's why they call me Sam of the apes

Thanks for posting this mini report. Have to say I agree about the 5 eu deals at Paradox. One of my fave things. Love a bit of variety.
Nice to see it is getting a facelift and look forward to seeing the new place. Will try and get some pics at the end of March if no one else has already done so.

i just back from my 4th trip to the dam and this was the first one i visited paradox on, i bought a gram of turkish and was quite impressed with the body effect and a cake (the cake was the main reason for the visit ) well i ate the whole cake and headed out into the cold to look around and about 2 hours later i was in abraxas (i think it was abraxas 2 actually) on their small stools looking out onto the doors bar and bobs youth hostel when i went into extreme panic and got up and left and just walked of into the dark having a panic attack lol then some dude comes up to me and whispers "cocaine?" in my ear (and believe me judging by my eyes and face coke was the last thing i needed) i then stumbled into the doors coffeeshop just to be somewhere i felt comfortable and the guy told me they were closing in twenty mins, so without thinking i turned round got a tram back to my hotel near vondelpark, it was about half way through the journey when i saw the reality of what had just happened and i couldnt stop laughing (none of the other passengers had a clue what i was laughing about which made me laugh more) so i got off the tram and spent the rest of the night in the dampkring(sp) drinking milkshakes and smoking g13 amnesia :)

i went back to paradox the next day to tell the lady what her cakes did to me but there was a man working instead but he was equally friendly, i bought some cheese this time which was really tasty.

the end result is paradox is now my favourite coffeeshop in the city everything about it is amazing and thats with the place being a building site and having my annoying cousin as company :D

i got two more cakes for the plane home and ate them both at once, no panic this time just a warm feeling and heavy eyelids all the way back to kent.

WONDERFULL news mate! 8) ... Trust me, whenever u can buy 5g of Finger Hash, you won´t be disappointed at all! It´s just superb (I know much more hash then weed and I tell you, it´s better then the others tops Ive tasted there).

One question: do you consider your trip with the cake a good or bad trip ??? I want to try it but I am a little scared after reading your panic! lol...

cheers buddy!

while its happening it was BAD but that only lasted like 15 minutes lol, ive had quite a lot of experience with edibles and paradox's cakes are the only ones ive had in the dam that have even had an effect, and the only time cannabis has done that to me too so that says something. and the fact i did two a few days later says that it cant of been that bad.
