Extase

ACD Page: Extase

I thought this place was bright, and relativly spacious. The cheesy reggae references all over the shop can be a good thing if your in the mood for it.

however, i wasnt impressed with the menu, and the service was bad. unfriendly, and 'half-arsed' staff.

the menu aside, if the service was good, i probably would like the place, but as with many things when your stoned, the atmosphere is important. The level of service genuinly means i wont be going back.

You never hear much about Extase. Given its amazing location, it might make me wonder why, if I hadn't been in it once.

I've smoked at Sensi Coffeeshop, what, 30 times, 40 times, and it's on the opposite corner from Extase? I've smoked maybe a half-dozen times at the shops across the street from Extase, Free A'dam and Pick Up the Pieces.

I walked in Extase once. I looked at the menu. I walked out. I've done that three times I can remember, at The Saint, at a coffeeshop I can't recall the name of in Maastricht, and at Extase.

If you like a bad selection of weed for ridiculous prices, I advise you to go to Extase.

Me and our friends had the same experiance as chelsea. Staff seemed a little unfriendly and half arsed at their job. Got Id'd at the door by a guy then he Id'd us again at the counter!?
Also the menu was nothing special and it was a little pricey
Bought 1.7g of purple haze for 1 euro!
Wasnt really too impressed with it at all, ahad a spicey smell. It was a great addition to our 70's night however where purple haze, mushrooms and Jimi Hendrix was on the menu
Have smoked alot better.

Didn't stop in my past two visits BUT we would ALWAYS stop in for a hot chocolate IF the window seat was available! The staff used to be nice...never pressured us to buy (if we did, it was once like 10 years ago) and the wife and I used to love saddlin' up to the table with the creaky-old window swung open to the canal. Damn, when am I coming back?

used to always call into this one before heading to square or after square before the red walk.

but that stoped about 6 years ago when the staff all changed. it used to have a drop in, relax atmosphere, but then it was new staff and as soon as you walk through the door the first thing you see is a menu in your hand.

totally the wrong foot i want to be putting into a coffee shop.

Sorry to give any coffeeshop a bad review as I still find the actual act of being able to walk into a shop and buy weed a mindblowing concept, but the purple haze we bought in here was rank rotten rubbish, prebagged and flung at me over the counter, place was too busy with a definite north African french vibe about it. They have an upper section where everybody seemed to be looking at us in an almost predatory way. I had the feeling that I'd be better not pulling out my wallet in here.

Like I said I dont like giving bad reviews for trivial reasons but we felt threatened in here.
