I took a gram of the G13 and a gram of the OG x Blue Dream iceolator. The G13 was OK, fairly mediocre taste and smell, pretty weak stone. The iceolator wasn't worth €40 it was strongish but had very little taste when smoked.
I had a look in a few of the tubs none of the buds looked like the buds they are always posting pictures of on facebook.
Cheers for review I have heard the same of few mates that the bud isn't that good and pictures they upload r never the same

Sorry guys don't agree with your logic here - I visited 1e Hulp for the first time recently with my bro, we bought 10g in 4 hours and there was a wide range of qualities regarding 'bag appeal' across the 10 samples. Everything from lovely little frosty dense nuglets to what looked like the last lonely bits of broken up bud from a much larger bag.

It's important to note that unlike American dispensaries where the 'larf' (leafier, less well developed buds from lower down the plant that are shaded by the main canopy) don't get sold - they get made into hash/oil. By contrast - for better or for worse (and hey - I agree with you guys, I want bud not leaf and twigs) Amsterdam coffeeshops seemingly put EVERY part of a harvest on the shelves. Of course what arrives as a nice batch of fresh large nugs eventually becomes a plastic tub of scraggle that some unlucky punter has to buy. You take the rough with the smooth I'm afraid.

1e Hulp's quality is - on balance - the same as most of the other CS's in Amsterdam. Decent commercial quality at lower than central Amsterdam prices. I had a good time there, the service was great I was even given a free g of super polm. What more do you want?

Labelling the shops product as rubbish by picking on the bag appeal of whichever specific bud your mates happen to have viewed on any given day seems a touch unfair to me.

Not trying to start an argument - just thought it worth chipping in with an alternative point of view.
Peace

Im glad you were impressed with what you bought, while I was in Amsterdam at the weekend Larby posted a picture of the original G13 he apparently had for sale, the product in the tubs was nothing like the photo posted on Facebook not hours before when I bought it!

Where did I say it was only the bag appeal that didnt impress me? I asked for the owners recommendation and i didnt think it was very good, looks wise or smoke wise, also the €40 top end iceolator wasnt good it was the worst purchase value for money wise the whole trip. I didnt label the shops product rubbish by picking on the bag appeal of whichever specific buds my mates have happened to have viewed! I saw the post, i went there and was pretty dissapointed.

When there at the end of Feb this year quality of bud was really poor!!! Horrid over dry hay tasting bud. I was so disappointed as last summer it was great... as it goes for the amnesia pollen, I really liked it. That was the 1 bonus... I'm back in Dam in May/June and don't know if I'll bother going which is a shame....

was here with some guys I met at the hotel... it was pretty early like 8 in the morning. Asked for a nice maroccan hash. He was very proud to show me the Zero Zero (7,50€/g). Very blonde hash from the look pretty similar to the 00 I got from de Graal later that day... but it was much fresher than the 00 from Graal. Taste was not so full than the batch from Graal and strenght was lower, too. Overall a good smoke for a fair price... nothing special but ok :D

We rolled a few Joints and took the next tram to Vondelpark 8)

Sweet critical and so-mango isolators both outstanding and also the ketama from here last Friday was lovely and sticky. 1e Hulpe is an excellent shop

Imo bud in the dam is not cured to my taste. I prefer a bit of sticky and a bit of freshness about it.

Damn - wish I'd tried them both now :) thanks for the heads up.

You will find well dried and (still sticky) cured buds in the centre of Amsterdam - it's just that finding the shops and strains that carry your personal preference can be a bit hit and miss sometimes I'm afraid as there's little consistency.

I had a similar experience to you back in March, but spent Sun/Mon/Tues this week finding beautifully cured and finished flowers… not everything I bought was good, but more often than not it was well up to par.
Central shops of particular note in that regard were Siberie, Utopia, New Times, Dampkring. De Graal (this time - but not last)
