Fantastic write-up @Lemming.
Seems like yesterday, the time goes by so fast. Only 108 days until I arrived.

Re: ACD Forum's 4/20 Gathering 2024
Tuesday 23rd April 2024 - Last Day
We have to leave Amsterdam today but our flight isn't until evening so we still have a few hours to indulge some more. First call is breakfast at Puccini, my favourite morning eatery. Heading out again, we spot that they also have a sweet shop so we pop in and take a look.

Puccini Bomboni
Somehow we resist buying anything and move on. Crossing Staalmeestersbrug I have to take yet another picture of the classic vista along Groenburgwal towards Zuiderkerk.

In Bagheera we meet up with AzLaker, Ghost and Occasional Bowl. Along with the customary Lemon Bubble, I get some GMO Rainbowz to start up a serious Volcano session.

OB has a flight to catch so has to leave us after dropping off a generous goodie bag to be passed on to a lucky Gapie later.
We're then joined by the lovely Rob_OG and the session continues.

After about 3 hours, we all emerge into the daylight. We wander past The Plug XXX and see the Smokeboat disgorging passengers outside The Grand hotel.
That brings us to Susies Saloon.

Despite their "Fuck the Rules" t-shirts, they're only letting us consume beer here so we don't stay long.
Igraine and I catch a tram to pick up our bags from the hotel before our travel passes expire. A return tram to Centraal and we catch up with the others in Batavia.
Time is running out so I'm rushing to get in as much as possible. A flying visit to Het Gelderse for more supplies and I return to Batavia with some Purple Berry Skunk. Intense consumption continues as I make the most of the remaining minutes getting as high as possible.
Through the rainbows I see Igraine is doing her magic with the ticket machine at the station. She then guides us onto a train to Schiphol. I'm already flying but they have planes here just in case.

So ends another amazing week in Amsterdam in great company. Thanks everyone who joined us and made it so much fun.

Afterthoughts
Sifting through hundreds of pictures, I notice lots of things that I missed at the time. For instance, sometimes when I'm taking street photos of coffeeshops there are people in the frame who think I'm pointing the camera at them. Sometimes they pose or smile, other times they try to hide or just look bemused. Almost always I don't see them at the time.
In the past I've had SLR film cameras and even ones using 120 roll film so I know a bit about apertures and exposures but my digital camera does a good job of being point and shoot, which is great for a stoner in Amsterdam. Occasionally I fiddle with settings in an attempt to stop bright lights from blowing out highlights. I then have a bad habit of forgetting to return the settings to normal leading to lots of ruined pictures, as happened a few times during this trip.
Rather like the people I inadvertently freak out with street photos, I did something similar to a few people in coffeeshops with my Flytlab vape. Its mouthpiece retracts into the body and to extend it requires an energetic flick of the wrist. On a few occasions I did this and then looked up to see someone looking at me slightly concerned as to why I seemed to by trying to shoot them with this thing.
That's it. Time to start planning for 2025 now ...
