The Annual Four-Twenty Gathering - 20th April 2025

We have quite a few things to fit into the schedule now.

Of the people already signed up, most are arriving on 17th, which is great because it means we can do a few things together in the days before the 20th. A couple of people don't arrive until the 19th and we start to thin out again after the 21st. So, as usual, the most important events need to be around 19th to 21st so that more people can join in. The question is, which are the most unmissable events?

I would guess that things like day trips, excursions to De Kade and so on would be better on 'outer' days leaving the peak days for boats, VIP sessions and so on but what do you think?

Since we're being inviting to The Stud & The Ballon again, we should figure out those days & times when we were invited, or when we want to go, first. If they're in the mid-afternoon, say 2 or 3 pm, we could do dinner afterwards then make our way to Spirit, for our pinball competition. Any other trips planned out of town should be scheduled around those dates. Same as 4/20, as we saw last year, 420 coffeeshop got full real fast real early. The boat trip we can do any time after 4/20. Just my 2 cents.

Those dates and times works for me. Maybe check out Harleem or Utrecht on the 18th or the 21st. What does everyone else think?

How about this, we could do the Haarlem thing after the Balloon/Stud event and the Utrecht thing after the other Balloon/Stud event.Then crawl back to a smoke/bar to round out the day.

I'm up for anything but I'm remembering the state we've left Stud in on previous occasions. I just can't imagine getting everyone to the station and on to a train at, say, 6pm after a heavy session. Half the crew will want to hit the nearest eatery, others will want beer or sleep. I just can't see it happening.

I understand why those only doing flying visits want to try to cram in as much as possible but we have to make allowances for a bunch of stoners in Amsterdam. After so many years of doing these things, experience says if you try to do too much you finish up doing nothing. Even in recent years we've seen the trip to Zandvoort that never happened, the evening at Kashmir abandoned due to lack of interest and a shambolic Pijp crawl.

Having said that, there may be ways of getting more in. One year we went to The Stud on the 20th, after 420 Café. We were originally intending to do a boat trip after Stud but we'd already abandoned that idea by then. Doing Stud or Ballonnetje on 20th leaves us free to do Utrecht on 19th or 21st. We could even move the boat to 19th or 21st after a daytrip or a session.

As we are in for the week I don't see the point in overloading our days so we are constantly moving around or not spending enough time in places/locations that we have ventured to, which puts a little pressure on us to try and meet them all and as we know some things do not get done or visited or we only stop a short while before having to move off again

That sounds like a plan to me @AzLaker grab ourselves some breakfast maybe Omelegge or another location up around there and then hitting Coffeeshop Het Gelderse for a few smokes before departure will be a good start to the day and will also give anyone else who wants to come along time to hook up there if they don't make breakfast or catch a later train and hook up with us at a Coffeeshop in Utrecht 'Culture Boat' maybe a little later in the day

Like that plan @Ghost. What do you think,8:30ish for breakfast, 9 to 10ish at Het Gelderse, for folks that want to skip breakfast, then off to the train station for Utrecht. Gives us all day of to check out the city and coffeeshops at a relaxed pace.

Hello fellow 420ers:
I unfortunately will not be at this years 420 celebration. I went out and became a "responsible" employed individual again here in South Carolina so Ill be taking this year off so I can build up the days off for next years celebration. I am already so very squirming with jealousy over each post here and seeing who will be there already. The 17th through the 23rd will be a fresh daily hell for me as I watch alllll of your smiling happy faces posting your joy.
