Train + Tram passes and/or discounts?
Will be traveling on the tram a bit throughout the city and also on trains throughout the country. Are there any deals or weekly passes I can buy? If so, where?

You can get a GVB card for trams in the city and some trains but it doesn't cover the train from the airport for example. Checkout GVB.nl

I've used the Amsterdam and Region travel card on several occasions, and if you're doing a fair amount of travel within a few days, I'd highly recommend it... It covers trams, trains and buses, and covers quite a large area, including; Schiphol, Haarlem, Zaanse Schans, Edam, Zandvoort, Volendam, etc...
...all the details, as well as where to get them are here;

I usually get mine from the small booth right outside Schiphol, near the buses....
Enjoy!

Just back and used the Amsterdam Region Travel Card for the first time. Well worth the money and saved me around 20 Euro on trains. No queue at the terminal to print ticket so only took about 20 seconds. Thanks for the recommendation.KeyMonCha wrote: Sat 5th Jul 2025 12:43 pm I've used the Amsterdam and Region travel card on several occasions, and if you're doing a fair amount of travel within a few days, I'd highly recommend it... These thing are such good value, especially if you're staying out of Centrum, or in a satellite town like Haarlem, they can save you a fortune... The only downside is that they don't do more than 3 days... I've bought multiple on several occasions.

Great share KMC, when I was there a few weeks ago I was booking tickets on the NS app before going the station that way I never had to hang around the station looking for a machine, but having a ticket for the greater Amsterdam area is defo a good money/time saver.KeyMonCha wrote: Sat 5th Jul 2025 12:43 pm It covers trams, trains and buses, and covers quite a large area, including; Schiphol, Haarlem, Zaanse Schans, Edam, Zandvoort, Volendam, etc...
