A few pics from recent trip 9th-12th June '26

Post by puffpuffgive »

Basically went to loads of coffeeshops, met up with some friends, vondelpark, good food, went to Efteling theme park which was well worth the trip, didn't manage to get to zaandaam to sample some legal wiet, due to train disruption messing up plans. Here are some pics and what little info I remember:

Yellow Cab - Grey Area - 8e/g
Very hard buds, decent sativa walking around effect
Image

Sherbanger- Grey Area - 25e/g
Again rock hard bud, strong flav & effect
Image

Black Cherry Garlic - Grey Area - 25e/g
Nasty feet smell, amazing flavour and effect. Excellent indica!
Image

Their Lemon Curd strain also smelled insane but I've had plenty of that in the past, check it out though.

White Choco Orange - Bagheera - 11e/g
Delicious citrus flav and nice hybrid fx, excellent value, this coffeeshop definitely a fave
Image

Cherry Punch - The Hit ?e/g
Strooong indica.
Image

The Hive x BB Octane - The Hit - 13e/g
Some VERY nice hash here
Image

Caramello Cream - Amnesia - 15e/g
Love that classic sweet strong maroc flavour
Image

Banana OG Filtered - Amnesia - 16e/g
This was also strong & tasty
Image

Papaya hash - Club Media - 13eg??
Yum
Image

White Choco Block - Program - 8.5e/g (great prices here btw)
Tasty reliable local fav
Image

Grape Cookies - Program - ?e/g
Nice grape smell in tub didn't really translate to taste, still good smoke though
Image

Purple Piatella (name?) - Program - 25e/0.5g (I purchased 10e worth)
This is an interesting one. Hyper-strong stink of candy and bubblegum unlike any cannabis product I've smelled before. Instant suspicion of fake terps, but Coffeeshop Program seem very proud of their products, as are many CS's. I later showed it to the budtender at Amnesia and he examined it carefully, agreed he'd never smelled anything so intensely candy-like from a cannabis product- but didn't believe it was fake terps. It smoked lovely and smooth, very strong fruit candy flavour when smoked, and produced a very intense high. The 10e lump laced approx. 5 joints.
Annoyingly fuzzy pic

Piatella smeared on a rizla

Also had Super Silver Haze from Club Media (excellent, clear head fx), Uncle Snoop from Amnesia (expensive but strong and dank tasting), super lemon haze from greenhouse centrum (nice n energetic), Dr Grinspoon and Maroc lemon haze from Katsu (both energizers) and prob some other things I forgot...

Bonus food pics:

Bananesoes from Holtkamp bakery on Vijzelstraat. Choux pastry, fresh banana, cream, awesome
Image

Dumpling Bros. Pork and beef dumplings, crispy pancake. Try this place! Good value and DELICIOUS
Image

Fried shrimp ramen and chicken karaag rice from Takumi Umaimon round the corner from Dam Square. Authentic and very tasty

Nice report PuffPuff, thanks. Good to see another familiar face from back when I was a regular here!

Is Program a (boring old, lets kill coffeeshop culture) buy'n'fly or can you sit and enjoy yourself?

Coffeeshop Program is buy and fly. Decor all glass and glitz, like a trainer store crossed with a cali dispensary. No seats. Budtenders all in lab coats. Not my style, but the quality & price of the menu makes it worth a visit

Excellent, To-the-Point TR, there... Thanks, ppg!

...You mention that a few of your samples were especially tasty... Just wondering what the top strains were, taste wise, in your opinion?

Cheers!

Hmm, favourite flavours...
BlackCherry Garlic from Grey Area was a highlight. VERY tasty to me, earthy, savoury, moreish. A bit hard to describe- not a fruity one, more kushy. It does not taste anything like garlic, I'm happy to report. It does smell quite offensive however. Expensive at 25e/g.
White Choco Orange from Bagheera was smooth, tangy citrus/diesel orangey, less intense effect than the Grey stuff but less than half the price at 11e/g. I went back for a second gram.
Nothing else stood particularly out- classics like SLH, SSH, Grinspoon were all as expected. Oh, I also tried Apples & Bananas from Katsu which as the names suggests is a fruity one, apple-ish fresh/ripe fruit taste rather than lemony/citrusy. I rolled one pure and it burned nicely.
All the hashes tasted awesome :D The piatella was something else though. It really smelled like candy-bubblegum shower gel in the pot. No discernable weed/rosin smell. Tasted weirdly intense candy-fruit in a mixed joint. Weird, but good. Soaring, obliterating high. I'll be seeking out more if this stuff on future visits.

Cheers for the info, and for the TR! :D

I'm always appreciative of a report with flavour included... It's probably what sells me on a strain nowadays.

I'm still to try a piatella, as I tend to avoid hash these days, but that pic and review might push me over to Program to try some out.

Thanks again, ppg!
