Just returned from A-dam...spent a lot of time in Rookies...in the old Rookies they sell gear only, no beer...across the street they have a resturant and bar where you can smoke the gear you bought across the street...the prices are from 8 -13 euros for a gram of weed...the "Rookies" is pretty good
Hash is also of great quality especially the super pollen or the Afgan...you will not be disappointed
Rookies is more than well worth the visit...

does the coffeeshop still only have a few kinds of weed and
still a small selection...about 8 weeds and 8 hashes...however, nearly all of the weed in A-dam is Dutch and the growers use the same methods etc....I have found that regardless of the name of the weed, the high is about the same. (especially after 2 or 3 spifs) Rookies has transformed into a very decent CS and has a very respectable selection of gear.

First coffeeshop I entered, bought a gram of the Silver Haze EU$9 and a pre-rolled Northern Lights bunger EU$5.50. The menu didn't include any of the "highly recommended" strains I'd read about on here, but the smoko was nice just the same.
Room to swing at least two cats in here, and enough nooks to find your own space. The coffee was fine, the service was fine. Struck up the odd conversation with some very wasted people, but I really just enjoyed the chance to be somewhere roomy and chilled to get shitfaced.

When I stayed here last year the restaurant across the road had been sold so the experiment to overcome the no alcohol law did not prove to be economical I guess.
Shame seemed a good idea to me.
However the hotel is still good and the cs downstairs ok for a quick visit. Very helpful and frendly staff.
What €60 per gram for isolator - your joking

Shit, is this place definitely closed? Was looking forward to going back there this coming August, because it was one of onyl a few relaxed, smoking-friendly bars I could find last time I was there.
If anyone who's been recently could let me know, and/or recommend alternatives, that would be much appreciated!
