I was on a diet of Lemsip, own brand berocca, fruit smoothies and hot honey & lemon before and during the trip so my tasting notes aren’t up to the usual standard. My 12th trip with 3 mates, me and two had an apartment on Rozengracht from http://www.amsterdamstay.com/apartments ... nk/16.html . It was billed as a credit crunch apartments. No living room, but still ok. I would stay here again but I want to try Paul's apartments next time. And the other was in my usual place Hotel Abba.
DAY 1
Easyjet flights landed at 9, got to central station at 10.
Voyagers
Friendly service, had to wait outside for 5mis while they got ready, let us 'steal' a few of the last weeks menus. Was told that it was a 'sad state of affairs around town' – he was pretty much right. Was also told to keep checking back in as new items would be added to the menu, didn’t happen. Two Japanese guys flashed a wad of at least a few 1000's Euros and was nicely told that it wasn’t advisable to do so in coffeeshops , the two cats were tying people up with their leads, the smoke alarm for the hotel went off for what felt like ages. My mate clumsy thought he was tripping off his first spliff but then just realised that the sun was going behind the clouds and coming back out! All in all great shop.
1g Sour Diesel E13.50 – No full on diesel flavour but did have a nice earthy taste. Million times better than the ECSD I got here earlier in the year. 8/10
1g Sour Power E13.50 – Small buds, tinges of purple. Nice very subtle sour taste and really nice smoke. 8/10
1g Star Bud E13.50 - off the menu. Absolutely caked in crystals, I looked at it through the scope for ages travelling the alien like world. Was told it was a strong indica, didn’t knock my socks off but did the job. Thick creamy flav/smoke.8/10
1g Kaligria E12.50 – Had a off fruit with a bit of spice when smelt in the tub, taste was pretty spicy- in a good way. Nice morning high. 8/10
1g Silver Bubble E12 – not my cup of tea, it was like a harsh amnesia. 6/10
We went to buy tram passes. Nice and easy, took me 20seconds. Not easy for everyone else. One mate was convinced he was given the wrong change and argued with the woman at the desk for ages. While this was happening some guy from the tourist board was asking my other mate (clumsy) questions about why he came to Amsterdam etc and he was getting really paranoid so I had to go answer all this guys questions as he entered the my answers on a little computer. Clumsy said after that he thought the guy was a fraud and he was not recording any info but instead filming him and was going to put it on youtube.
Jumped on the tram to Westerkerk and went to http://www.arkwrights.nl/ to pick up the keys but couldn’t check in as there was family emergency. No worries so we left our bags and headed straight back out.

1g Choclope E13 – light tropical tang but no buzz. 7/10
1g Quaze E16 – Had a few pulls and then my mate dropped the rest down the toilet while smoking and pissing. 7/10
1g Silver Bubble E13 – similar to voyagers, harsh in my opinion and kinda amnesia like 6/10

Really friendly Asian dealer – saw him in Voyagers and said hello later on in the trip, but it was slightly weird he was smoking a cig when we first went in. OGK smelt poor as did Headband, just names to boxes of cabbage. LA Cheese was straggly.

1g Pine Apple Haze E13 – September 2010 this was unsmokable hard black ash. This time DIESELCITY! Full on NYC diesel smell. Ill use the same words as I did to Love Potion from Borejonges last trip- Powerful moreish tart ruby grapefruit nectar fuel flavour. Mouthwatering. 9/10
2g Silver Cheese – very nice fruity hazy flavour. Not very cheesey but lovely. 8/10

Chelsea vs city – first 30 mins was really really good. Then just after half time City got a red card and reverted to anti football tactics – which they do very well and killed the game.

Cant remember where it was but one group were having talking about some weird mix of subjects while getting high including Fukuyama's End of History theory and paedophiles to name two. I was so high and it spun me out a bit.

2g White Choco E8.50/g – similar to before, great budget strain. Not the strongest but real tasty fruity flavours. 7.5/10

1g Chocolope E9.50– more pungent taste and heavier stone than GA's version for E3.50 less. 7.5/10
1g Sanguna E11 – I said it smelt like cheese and was told it was a cross of Cheese x Blueberry Haze x G13(so a rip off of SoGouda). Nice with a herbal taste but not mouthwatering. Silver Cheese was better. 7/10

Portare via I had half a 'Tartufi Con Coppa Di Parma' E12.50 (tomato, mascarpone, black truffle, coppa di Parma, arugula, parmesan) and half a Quattro Formaggi. Nice super thin base. Doesnt look like it will fill you up but the toppings are good quality and it does the job very well. It was so good i didnt mange to get a pic.

In Basjoe as I flattened the Cream Special I was telling my mates about the Redman method of flattening hash to use as a skin and filling it with skunk. Like me they didn’t think the idea sounded too appealing. Then in his stoned state clumsy said 'why don’t you just put it in a spliff'. So later I did.

After trying to smoke Klash and SLH, we took them to the bar with 2 spliffs each with 2 pulls taken and asked for refund. He swapped them for more Arjas Haze and HS. Tried smoking these, same fucking problem. Tried to get money back – no sorry you have handled it we cant take it back. FUCKING CUNTS!

Complete opposite of GH. Really like this place. All the purchases were top notch, its clean, friendly, the blonde isn’t bad to look at. Will spend a lot more time here next trip. My mates rinsed the upgraded football quiz while I rolled the two wiets I just got and enjoyed them listing to my ipod.

1g Rootang Valley E22 – sticky and gooey but still quite workable black hash. Smoked at the end of the day when I was crashing and burning. Full on rich taste and lovely smiley, happy, up buzz. Before smoking this I was ready for bed, after I was laughing my head of at silly shit and having a good time. We had been warned by the people that a 'strange' old dutch man lived underneath us and he doesn’t like sound of the door closing. My mate was leaving to go to Abba and I tried to shut the door quietly. The guy managed to heard and shouted 'HALLO! HALLO? THIS ISNT RIGHT! Came out his front door 'Its like the Nazis are storming my house...etc' I had to leave my mate to deal with him as I was laughing too much, I couldnt stop for about 20mins. Pricey but amazing. 9/10 (you'd hope so for the price)
Me and clumsy jumped on Tram7 all the way to Flevopark while the other two went to Kashmir Lounge because it was raining. Had a few pre rolls and enjoyed them while admiring the graffiti. Almost got hit by a tram taking a pic. The battery on my camera almost died and I had to be frugal with the flash and zoom. It just about lasted.

Thanks for the menu pic in the food section colina, I already knew what I wanted before I saw the menu! We shared ribs for starter (fucking yum, will be back for my own personal portion next time), I had onion soup and clumsy had snails. Both bang on the money. Two mates had the Lamb shoulder(HUGE), one chops and me the tenderloin. FUCKING YUMMY! One of the best steaks I've ever had!

yay! Super trip report. I haven't even quite finished, but oh my, that Hawaiian snow from greenhouse looks shockingly terrible . They've been on my skip list for quite some time now, and reports like these mean that they will remain firmly on that list.
