ONE DAY TRIP QUESTIONS....PLEASE HELP

Post by onelovemarley »

Some buddies and I are stopping to Amsterdam for only one day, approxmiately 9 hours and I was wondering if someone could give us a good route, considering time is a big factor, to hit up some of the good coffeeshops.

I have seen the map of the coffee shop locations but do not really know where the airport is in comparision...I think it is about 9 miles southwest of amsterdam?

Once again time is a big factor and I would like to take my friends to the best coffeeshops possible...could someone please help with a route from the airport to some of the "closer" good coffeeshops.

Thanks in advance..

Does anyone know how long the train ride is from the airport to central station?

I told my buddy I was asking questions on an Amsterdam forum, and he told me to ask if anyone knew the coffee shop that cheech and chong visited in their trip to Amsterdam.
If anyone could tell me the answer of either questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

The train takes approx 15 mins to get to Amsterdam and if I was you I'd head over to Haarlemmerstraat and hit up Picassos (Try the Poison) Pink Floyds (7 Seconds or Mothers Finest) maybe Barneys? (Sweetooth) plus theres Popeyes (can't make any specific recommendations as I've not been here but recent reports say its goods are all top quality) - As far as the coffeeshop that Cheech and Chong may of visited I haven't a clue sorry!

if he means the coffeshop they visited in the movie where they were mistaken burt reynolds and dolly parton then i'm pretty sure its not about anymore. its the floating coffeshop which is the one in question and i've looked myself a few times but i heard that it closed down so i stoped looking. shame though, wouldve liked to smoke a jib floating on the canals

If its the T-boat (the floating one) then its definitley shut down has been for a few years now, luckily I saw it a while back while doing the canal tour so I back tracked and found it :) - I must admit I loved sitting on the boat smoking a nice J I'd love for it or another to open up!!

Thanks a lot guys for the fast responses...I really appreciate it!

I wish the trip was a little sooner than the begining of November!

What strain would you recommend for a happy/laughing high, cause that would be the first strain I would like to try because we are finally here in Amsterdam! No more day dreaming about it!!

When I first get there i would like to get an extremely happy high, a brew and shoot a couple games of pool...and just soak in the atmosphere.

chigusa- those are quite the pics...were you drooling at the mouth? ( I would)

I hope u can get 2 central coffeeshop when its not busy, every time I go its packed out, nowhere 2 sit and a long q at the counter which is a shame cause its always on my list of must see shops. Ive been 2 the dam 3 times and its always packed so I always go up the road 2 future and have some of their Jack Herer (one of my all time fave strains) I believe the best time 2 go 2 Central is first thing in the morning, next time I`m over there I`m gonna set my alarm so I can sample the delights of Central.

I would go for anything with Haze after the name, Amnesia Haze and Canalope Haze come to mind as good highs! Or if you like the hashes, a nice fluffy pollen always sends you skywards.
