We are staying the Hotel Memphis
De Lairessestraat 87
1071 NX Amsterdam, Netherlands
We know it's the most centrally located place in terms of coffeeshops (It looks like it's due south east from Vondel Park).
Any suggestions or feedback is helpful.
Thanks!
Hotel Memphis?
Re: Hotel Memphis?
Nice hotel in the South not far from Vondelpark or De Pijp. What kind of info are you looking for? The more specifics you supply the better the suggestions you'll receive.
Are you stoned? Like a gravel road bitch, like a gravel road!
Re: Hotel Memphis?
Sorry mate, but there are few coffeeshops close to you. Good news is you can hop tram 16 and get off @ De Graal. It's then a short walk to the other De Pijp coffeeshops.butchweiss wrote:We are staying the Hotel Memphis

You can also take 16 back to either Dam square or Centraal Station and explore from there. How many days are you staying?

Re: Hotel Memphis?
Thanks for the tip. I realized my op had a typo. I knew we were NOT centrally located in terms of coffee shops. We will be there 4 nights so there will be plenty of time to explore.

Re: Hotel Memphis?
Looks like Hotel Memphis had some mice issues recently. We changed our hotel to The Convent in the north west part of Center City, which looks to be much more to my liking in terms of proximity to coffee shops. Kadinsky, Grey Area, Homegrown Fantasy, and Abraxas too have been suggested by friends. Looks like I can't go wrong over there, but if someone has a few othersuggestions, I would love it. Thanks

Utopia is a short walk, and the Haarlemerstraat strip is also close.butchweiss wrote:Looks like Hotel Memphis had some mice issues recently. Re: Hotel Memphis?
I was very impressed with this hotel for the price. It has a heated pool and hot tub, nice clean beds and sheets, and the staff is slow, but very kind and helpful.
Re: Hotel Memphis?
Sweet, that's the best news I've read! I'm there in two days! Thanks for the review mate!
