The Hunt for Peanut Butter B

Post by welshmans_beard »

I'm off for an impromptu(ish) visit end of August: viewtopic.php?t=38857

I've got only one primary quest:

Find Peanut Butter Breath...
(Do-si-dos x Mentos breath)

Had some on the first day of a trip with one of the lads back in 2019; stunning earthy flavour and a really good high, we ended up buying (at least) 1g a day all weekend.

On that particular trip, we were getting it from Greenhouse Effect on Nieuwmarkt, for about €14/g. I'd not seen it anywhere on subsequent visits but recently, at least from what info I can get on here and FBN's menus, it was in:
Het Ballonnetje and Bushdoctor in May
Central in June

Conscious not every shop/budtender is OK with people taking pictures of menus, and said menus can change frequently, if anyone sees Peanut Butter Breath can they please pop a reply under this?
Would also be interested in trying it's constitute Strains (Do-si-do and Mentos Breath), if anyone comes across either of those also.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you all, happy blazing!

High man!
I'm heading out on Wednesday so I will be on the look out.
was it weed or hasj?

Having a quick look on some of the menu's in preparation ,
Bush docter have it on the latest menu (may), in weed https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/Bushdo ... vMnu020324
they got do si dos hasj on there too

Grey Area have it in rosin form.
Which is pricey, I never done rosin.

Have a check on the latest menu's close to when you're due to go.
Some do update the menu quite regular

Some one is bound to have some
somewhere
If I find anymore info on my travels I'll let you know m8

Hey @Dave Exodus,
Thank you for offering bud, I'd really appreciate any pointers.
I was initially after weed but only because I didn't know I came as hash, so at this point I'd be happy with either(or both..).
Concerning rosin; I never used it before either, nor really looked into it. So don't know if I dabble this time around, but cheers for the tip. Have a great trip bud, I'll be here doomscrolling menus for now

@Lemming cheers for the head up, I'll give it a look

Keep checking www.coffeeshopmenus.org you might find it on a menu.

From memory I think I had peanut butter breath at Mr K's a few years ago.

Hey @welshmans_beard
Just trawling through the menu site in preparation for next weeks pilgramage and saw PBB on the menu at Central for E13.50/g, dated 25 June 2025
It's not a shop I particularly frequent but if I can I'll try pop my head in and see if it's still there

Peanut butter breath in coffeeshop central.

Went in for some yesterday before I got the train back to the airport last night
rolled it up as my leaving smoke,

In a word; disappointed.

Didn't burn nice.
Didn't feel great
1 gram spliff, tried to smoke half and just put it in the ashtray outside Schiphol.

shite

I wish I had grabbed a couple more grams of the PH89.

On the other side, the purple punch from Voyagers was nice. I had some of that for a afternoon spliff while sat in a coffeeshop somewhere....

Cheers for all the responses so far, I shall continue to keep an eye on here and FBN's menus in the coming weeks, was a bit gutted it want on the latest Het Ballonnetje upload...

And a thank you to you @DaveExodus; too high for Family First but not too wavey for this little quest, I appreciate it
Coffeeshop Central is somewhere I don't think I've ever bought from, the mix of location and the seemingly ever-present crowd outside has always had me walking past into Voyagers and Het Gelderse.
But good to know it's probably best left alone

It was probably a bad example of peanut butter breath, I bet there will be a better batch out there.

May have been a bit fresh. Too moist? Too much nutrients? I don't know anymore.
It tasted nice for a couple of seconds then it went.

In the heat I would have not made it to family first
I should have got a bike.

I'd never been into central before, like you say there is a crowd outside a lot of the time.
I popped in the first morning, it was quiet, nice place, got some ph89 as I was curious.
Very nice sit down while there was no one out front.

I had been trying to get in there the past 3 times but it was crowded in front and I didn't want to walk around smoking a spliff and then get fined, knowing my luck.

It is only one example but, the ph89 was good quality.
The guy said it was like white widow.
It must have been white widow, maybe they have there own version, but it was just like I used to get back in Birmingham around 2002/03.

Later in the day they have this bouncer on the door for appearances, which is one of the reasons for me not going in before.
I avoided any coffeeshop that had someone on the door.
It reminds me of the shite pubs in my area who have them, just to make the place look exclusive.
Pretentious shit.

I am rambling now. Just collecting my "thoughts" after the madness.

Police activity etc etc. never a dull moment in Amsterdam
There was a woman with an owl on her shoulder outside central coffeeshop later that day and the bouncer was trying to get her to leave.
The owl looked pissed

Anyways, even if there is a crowd, I would just go in and then pop over to 420 to smoke it.
Where ever you like.
I like 420

Ahh yeah that doesn't sound like the PBB I remember, sorry to hear it sounded like you had a duff bag.

Are you referring to 420 Cafe by de Kroon? If so, it's somewhere I've walked past loads and it's always looked rammed so haven't been in. But will definitely check out on recommendation

Yes mate,
420 on the same street as de kroon.

It's a old skool place. Sometimes it does get rammed.

Lots of "first time" people seem to go in there, but I think there are some locals who go in too.

I think it's the big green sign, often the first shop they find
I have seen a few whiteys.

Good place for a chill, they play a good assortment of old music (60's-90's)

I get Neville's haze from there, it's the only place I found it so far.
Hash is decent too.

See I thought I clocked it on FBN's menus as well @Htn, but I've just checked now and it isn't there anymore

Although there is Do-si-do's now, so that's something at least haha

Hope you and Mrs.HtN have a good Honeymoon

Oh yeah, that's weird. Maybe an older one got uploaded by mistake.

Just checking back through the archive and from what i recall it looked very similar to the menu from 3rd of May from Nevermore

I was thinking similar, although Het Ballonnetje is always on the Essentials List so it'll still definitely be getting a visit.

Have seen it on the recent menu at Greengrocers, Haarlem. I've yet to properly catch up on your most recent Travelogue, was Greengrocers one you went to?
