A post holiday reflection

Post by Drugsbunny »

Having just enjoyed 11 days in the great city of Amsterdam, this time it was my 4th trip.

A much needed rest was sought and acheived and its was great to back in the Dam once again.

This time i managed to smoke about 1.5 grams per day which is the most i have ever smoked. lol.
Mothers finest, nyc deisel, stardust, and freetibet to name a few.

The weather was a real mixture of hail, thunderstorms, rain and just plain cold, but none of that mattered to me i was on a mission to chill the heck out before i had a nervous breakdown!!
5 days into the trip and i suddenly realised that i was on holiday and could relax and get happy again, which i did with great gusto.;-)

Yes the last few years have been tough and having not managed to go to AMS last year i was determined to enjoy myself.

I normally have tint of sadness about coming home to the uk having been in Ams, but this time i was ok about coming home. Strange perhaps the novelty is wearing off and iam beginning to enjoy AMS alot more knowing that hopefully one day i will there for good.

I will get xmas out of the way and then start planning my next trip;-) along with a way of getting a job over in AMS that is able topay me the same as the uk, otherwise for me, theres no point in going to live in the DAM and having to scrimp and scrape a living only having to return to the UK a year or 6 months later and having to start all over again.

I have been to about 30 of the coffeeshops now and have a good selection of ones that i will now make my regulars when i next go back.

nice report, I thought you lived in the US so I was sort of shocked at first about hearing you staying 14 days in the dam. Whats the prices like from UK?.

high,

I get plane ticket for 130£ and hotel for about 75£ per night including city tax and breakfast when in the dam.

But if you shop around you can get much cheaper but i prefer to pay extra for the comfort.
