Noticed Dutch signs saying there is new hash to be had. So asked friendly Dutch guy in his fifties about it to which he promptly offered to show those new three varieties, Super OG Kush (12€), Amnesia (11€) and Critical (10€). All of them dark creams of those types being around more and more all across the country, in particular latter one. Went for the Super OG Kush which was another pungent smelling one of nice enough quality also sold at Tweede Kamer and trusted others in Amsterdam. Menu of hashish had about six others on and about nine strains of wiet (nothing special at all it seemed). Otherwise place looked like a medium sized bar not too well looked after.

I visited Apeldoorn for 2 nights (6-7 July 2010) and walked past this coffeeshop in the evening. It was open but I did not go in as I did not need any weed from my visits to 2 other Apeldoorn coffeeshops. But I am providing this update to say that it is still currently open. It is just slightly set back from the pavement and it has a semi-enclosed outdoor smoking area in front. It did appear to be a real local coffeeshop.

I visited Apeldoorn where my wife and I found this quiet little coffeeshop while walking around in the rain. The outside does look a little homely but the sign said welcome, so we went inside. It really is a locals' shop - The dealer couldn't speak much English, but one of the locals helped us out, which was good when the vending machine broke down. We smoked a couple of joints of Snowwhite - tasted great and was better quality that the White Widow we'd been smoking in Haarlem and Amsterdam, cheaper too. The inside of the shop was centred around the bar though there were some comfortable session areas at the back. That's where we sat and let the mood of the smoke settle in and prepare us for some more walking around Apeldoorn in the cold rain. Friendly people even though we couldn't talk much.

I felt very welcome in this place, hung with some locals, (Hello Tony and Raymond) who were very friendly. It is a simple place with a simple menu. At the locals suggestion I tried the "Snuewhite," which was some of the "whitest" bud I saw this trip, very good deal, 5 euro for 1.2 gm.! Some stool seating at the bar, several tables and booths, a pool table in back, good mix of music, was a good place to hang. Just down the street is "Het Blues Cafe" where I was performing, great venue, music 4 nights a week, check it out, say hello to "Hans" from Doody.

Having ridden by on bike numerous times I wasn't too impressed with the outside. Kinda grungy. Not too different on the inside. Modest selection of hash and weed. Mediocre in quality. a real locals hangout where people who aren't actually born in Holland don't really feel welcome. On the plus side they also have a full service fry shop with all the Dutch junk food delicacies.
